Family, rising costs of moving and travel, finding jobs in the places we want to go, along with some other factors like climate, language, laws, and cultural differences. This is a beautiful, huge country with a rich history that is being driven into the fucking ground by Trudeau and his goons; it's natural for us to have some attachment to it. That said, I often find myself wondering what's really keeping me here.

Look at the TN-1 visa list of professions, identify something you can stomach studying and working in, and go study it.

It won't get you in the US immediately, but it will in time.

Historically for anglos and euros North America was the last place to go to because everything was shit and there was no opportunities. Leaving so the WEF idealogues in the government of your country can replace you with scam artists and filth from India, China and the Philippines is essentially retarded. Another thing is most of the world has zero interest in Canadians or the passport and rightfully so.

Contrary to ultra-right views you can't just waltz into America. Legal immigration takes 5-10 years and you would need to be fairly educated, experienced, employed and win the green card 'lottery' if you are not marrying an American woman which I certainly would if I was in my 20s. You cannot hide, mind your business under the radar or live with a fake identity either it's a police state your ID will get run because some Karen says you saw the nice black man pull out his jammy and say he was fittin' to blast all the white ppl in the Trader Joe's parking lot.

Moving to Mexico takes interviews, possibly some post-sec education + proving you have $250,000 on hand. Quite easy... but it's Mexico. Maybe if the standard of living decreases enough over the next 5-10 years it will be more appealing.

Where should Canadians move to? India? China? Your premise is correct, nothing is going to change but Canadians are generally not doers who do things and are not seen as being particularly good at anything.

There's also instability and changes in every developed country in the world right now. Globohomo efforts to spark some sort of world war or the next closest thing and more economic turmoil. There is no guarantee America or wherever you go is for you, will workout and every year you are outside Canada is another year where Canada is importing millions of pajeets and still not building house. The real estate situation could be somehow worse in 1, 3 or 5 years time if you have to return. Manhattan prices at Bangalore standard of living and a crime rate higher than Juarez.

Personally, I'm from a rural Atlantic Canada, and it's not all that bad here yet. Even if it did start getting bad in my parts, my life will probably be OK as I own several pieces of land and a small bungalow and my whole family is here including my wife and kids. Urban and rural Canada may as well be two different countries.

Speaking for mysef? It’s entirely just a matter of finances - I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, but if I could afford to leave the country, I would.

Unfortunately, I would then run into the problem of, well read my user name - I’m a “unskilled worker” (side note - remember when unskilled labour was called essential workers? Yeah thats how we knew we had all moved on from Covid), my prospects outside of winning the literal lottery on a green card (read - marry an American with lots of money and low standards) are slim to fucking none.
