I think the idea was that if you wanted to play Artifact for free you had to be a hyperjew trading other games' cards and lootboxes on the marketplace for more packs. At least that was the implication, I don't think it was ever stated anywhere, but it obviously didn't get the mass appeal audience normal Dota did. RIP Underlords too
 
The whole "philosophy" behind Sweet Baby is fucking weird and creepy. Just imagine if we took what they said and replaced the part about diversity & equity with, say, eating poop. Here is how they would describe themselves if so:

I mean, nobody would take this shit seriously, right? How are they any different with the nonsense they are spewing, or "standing up for" right now if the games they're involved would have been just as bad, or even better off if they did just import their fetishes into them and left everything else alone.

Here is another example, this is how they advertise their main "service", Diversity, re-written under the above logic:

This is beyond "Dare you enter my magical realm" levels of projecting your fetishes, this company wouldn't last a day if they wrote something like this in their bio. Again, question presents itself: Is this any different than what they're actually saying, when shoving niggers and faggots everywhere might as well be an obscure and disgusting fetish nobody wants in their media? Feel free to replace poo with pee or something equally disgusting when you're dealing with this little mental exercise and fill in the blanks on what SBI says or what is written on their pages, it's not going to get better or more justifiable. They're an unwelcome addition to the medium and their only future now is to be mocked for it, along with the devs who went along with this willingly. One last time, to drive the point home, that would be like a disgusting woman from Canada forcing big game studios like Rocksteady, Bethesda or Volition to add characters that eat shit: Blatant poo fetishism in plain sight, treat scat like it's a normal thing and paint people who find poo disgusting as strawmen idiots who get killed or humiliated in-game, include mandatory missions where you eat or spray poo everywhere, make existing and established characters into scatphiles that cannot stop talking about how much they love poop ect. This is just as ridiculous and I won't hear otherwise, there would be an uproar to end all uproars if anything even close to this happened.

You're correct that EFAP mocked Synthetic Man for getting it correct, but I was specifically talking about G+G praising the game anyways, and they didn't get too much pushback from people about it being woke trash, but only a little bit. They are grifters though - supposedly against "THE MESSAGE", but yet GoW Ragnarok was absolutely part of it, yet somehow that was the exception for.....reasons that no one can explain.

EFAP really should apologize to Synth, because he got it right, and they were a bunch of misinformed retards. While sometimes his ramblings are a little cringe, he is the only game reviewer I'm aware of that actually calls out ESG. If he says it's woke, I'm very much inclined to believe him.

Last thing - it was through that whole EFAP/Synth drama that I learned that Mauler was really just a fat ginger. Talk about disappointing. :story:

Even if the characters ain’t self-inserts, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a book with a PoC cast that didn’t have them whining about inequity or slavery or some other bullshit. I don’t wanna be lectured when I read my fiction, which is why my tastes tend to lean towards white protagonists, they usually have to power through their internal issues, not blame all their woes on racist bigots and get asspats for doing nothing.
