I am a horrible cook, I know that when you throw together the cheapest and easiest shit you get beige. How she makes it all become a rancid paste though is new to me.
The beige also rarely has any nutritional value; it's slop that, depending on what you're mixing together in the first place, you load with sugars, salts or overwhelming fake flavours/spices to make palatable. If there is anything nutritious in there, it's overwhelmed by the aforementioned "flavouring".
Cream based sauces, chicken and pasta/rice seem to be chantals favourites for making beige, but gravy, breads and potatoes are also common staples in a nice, goopey, homemade beige. With these ingredients you can turn almost any recipe into a nice "comfort food" homemade beige.

I didn't want to think this could be true, but myself and a lot of you have been speculating on why Salah would take her back after Shitgate and what he is truly getting out of all this.

There are some very logical answers, and even some interesting but probably not true theories, by my god what if he really was stupid enough, really was delusional enough, really was egotistical enough to take her back just to have access to her youtube audience.

What if he's really just clinging to the dream of being an online celebrity (through games or travel or whatever) and is desperate enough to get back on camera that he would continue to feed and bath his prize piggy?

I thought his youtube obsession was just about the cash, but if he's acting like a child does when mom says she's busy and he wants attention (playing music loud, walking heavy, coughing, laughing, anything to get mom to look up and ask what he's doing or even scold him for doing it) it's probably in hopes he'll be asked by chantal or by the audience to join back in and thus be a part of it all again.
Which is fucking surreal, all of Chantal's exes (aside from BeBe) have started youtube channels and they all get no attention once Chantal stops providing them with attention or showing up in them. He brings nothing to the videos but obnoxious shesha bubbling (thank god I didn't grow up in a culture where that is normal because that noise is insanely annoying to me when repeated so frequently) and the only benefits are that he can chauffeur her around for us to watch her waddle in public, and occasionally catch her at a hilariously embarrassing angle /moment.
Alone he's a boring and bad gamer. The idea of him hosting her and doing ALL this runaround just to "work" in a field he's bad at and isn't welcome in is just insane.

Also most youtubers make it big before their sexting scandals are released online. Way to jump the gun, Sultan Shitlord.

This aligns with A LOT of what we see of Chantal, and with how she handles hard situations. Anything that is not right that moment does not exist:
Does she have money right that moment? She'll spend it, even if it means she won't be able to pay bills tomorrow, because tomorrow isn't now.
Fighting with friends/family/the internet? Numb it now with drugs and food. What happens when that wears off? Doesn't matter, it's in the future!
Want an entire pizza and four sides now even though it will make you fatter and exasperate existing health issues? Fuck it, that pizza tastes good right now.
You can even see it in her rages, when yelling at Nadar and saying "We'll both get in trouble but I don't care!" and things like that. There could be consequences, but there aren't right this second, so why not smugly smile into the camera while calling a woman you met once "Sharmuta" because her husband called you fat or whatever.

I don't know if she's just terrified of the future or too dull to even be able to imagine anything beyond what is immediately happening. She's incredibly, inhumanly unempathetic towards others, I wonder though if it's less about being a sociopath and just being so unimaginative. She's not feeling down right now so she can't imagine feeling down in the future, same with happiness, or sadness.
Or can you just be such a sociopath you can't even feel empathy for your future self?

A tad unrelated but I think Chantal is just a very very scared woman. So much though that she's even afraid to feel at times. I'm convinced it's her fear that causes what she thinks is anxiety, what she thinks is depression and what she thinks is her superiority.
I'm not saying they can't be linked, or even the same thing, but anxiety can be present without a specific fear triggering it, you can be depressed even if things are going very well, and I don't think that's the case with Chantal. I think if she learned to face her fears rather than hide away from every challenge a lot of those issues would probably fade.

Gorlworld Ireland made a very good observation about this shopping trip looking alot like a food bank pick up. I'd be willing to believe it. When I was 19 I had to go to a food bank for a while, and it looked alot like this.

Although I have no idea how different Canadian and Kuwait food banks are, I'm kind of inclined to agree. It's such a weird mix with things, and lacks her usual "staples". There's cheese, sure but not enough to cook with (her excuse for buying it) or just eat but there are a few things that give me pause.

Again, things could be VERY different from where I originate from, but we could never get milk or frozen meat/veggies and she has a few there.

There's also the amount. Unless she lied and said they had a family of five (which could be true-ish (her favourite kind of true) if you count her, Salah, Julia, Howie and the ghost of the original Howie) I could never see a bank giving them that much food and especially not delivering it.

It's very possible though that things are quite different there and I'm very off base.

Edit: I forgot there was a quote that didn't make it to this post for some reason but a few pages back someone mentioned that Salah "learned nothing" from the debacle with Kaibella and would no doubt do it all again.

While I agree he can, will and probably right now is doing all the exact same things with another woman, I do think he learned a very valuable lesson from it all: He can get away with it, even if caught.
Chantal essentially gave him permission when she came running back and that's a HUGE lesson, and gift, for a grifter

Exactly. Chantal/Mariam suffers from "Normalcy Bias," a condition that makes you think if it hasn't happened to you it will never happen. I've seen the same in folks living in tornado-prone areas who are shocked when one levels their house, but with Chins the odds are much higher of a disaster occurring to her sooner rather than later.

Firstly, To some comments made above, I don't believe at all it's a food bank. You can see the store/company logos on the packaging and she also get's it delivered to her apartment which I don't believe many food banks would do but hey, you never know. Also, Chantal still orders takeout and if they were poor/struggling enoigh to use food banks she wouldn't be ordering food, but then again- this is Chantal. The same Chantal who apperently sucked a guy off for two whoppers then got mad at him because he didn't bring her zesty sauce..

Secondly, I could for sure believe Salah stayed/staying with Chantal for "fame" or one day to return to youtube. We all saw how he acted and smiled on camera, especially in Thailand. He LOVEs the camera and loves himself. Yeah. Sociopaths often don't really give a fuck about themselves either, in that they often partake in risky behaviors. But I am personally in the camp that she never was very bright and has been slowly degrading her two brain cells through her diet, drugs and the company she chooses to keep. She has absolutely no one to have real conversations with and those skills fade fast when not in use. She's been reduced to "whuhyoudooey" because that's the extent of her convos with Sally and her VIBs. I'm going to be a contrarian, and say Salah's singing isn't terrible.

He's doing some quarter-tones at the ends of some words, and those don't exist in Western music normally. So, they jut out, and sound wrong.

But mostly, he's very reserved? He's not putting enough air behind his voice, so it makes him sound shaky. You've really gotta put your whole chest into singing if you want to be clear! Nader sucked, but he had good breath support for his singing, so he was loud and unwaivering. Salah's probably just inexperienced, but maybe he's nervous because someone is pushing him to sing... Pious Miriham loves singing, afterall.
