My gripe (of many) is he was bitching about republicans sabotaging the boarder bill when in the same speech he talks about all these things he can do. He could just let Abbot mine the boarder and put some razor wire up but noooo.

Having religiously watched every State of the Union, I can confidently say this was the absolute worst. The opposition half of the chamber never rose ONCE. Not ONCE. Even Obama could get the Republicans to clap with the Democrats now and then during his speeches.

This speech was just...mean. Almost spiteful. I felt intense mask off malice coming from it. And the Democrats rising to clap as he talks about taking AI out of the hands of common citizens and making it "safe", I got literal chills. Its like I saw every Science Fiction story warning of this very event flashing before my eyes, ending in fire and the Butlerian Jihad. And the Democrats clapped like seals.
