I never cared about the diversity in gaming until it was preached at me. After all, if a character was obviously visibly different it meant they likely had an interesting story to tell.

I never cared about how beautiful the women were(outside of bethesda games) until they intentionally made them ugly. After all, they were still usually beautiful and once you're past a certain level personality becomes key.
