Yeah, no shit. Don't mistake my words as some sort of aggrandizement of the value of people posting shit on FB or twitter. Point is that the overabundance of idiot citizen journalists gaining traction online should have rendered the degenerated industry obsolete and necessitated some meaningful change, but it didn't. It was a career rife with lazy ideologues before the smartphone and it still is now.

The trust fund kiddies and the post-watergate journalists haven't made an iota of effort to improve their medium now that the average person gets their news from twitter posts. If these media outlers weren't receiving loans and subsidizations that make the free market a less free than it really is, they would have gone extinct after "journalism" became something any retard on the internet can do.

Oh I'm not saying it hasn't gotten worse. It has. It's creeped up on us for years. I'm just trying to get at picking your battles. It depends on the game and the infection. If you're gonna call a game out, a normie has to go "you're right, this is Woke" if you want them on your side. Which is more than a single fag.

European myself with a few languages under my belt. I played the English version because... well, I'm lazy. Only real reason honestly.
The voice actor felt so off and cringe, but I couldn't quite put my finger unto it until I saw the other languages. And it just suddenly clicked with how much the English changed from the tropes and writings it was originally going for.
But if you look around, German doesn't do accents. French I don't know cuz... well... French, Japanese mostly does regional Japanese accents. And whilst the English certainly have used regional England dialects, which I'd consider normal considering they use an England based studio. Ever since Endwalker, they've snuck in more and more, rather cringy imitation accents. Heck even before, in Shadowbringers.. not going to lie, but Ryne and Gaia felt so forced and shipped.. Wuk Lamat has plenty of South Americans/Brazillians rather upset for the rather racist imitation of it. (The irony, the curator group was also Brazillian) as well as, in my opinion, just botching up the written character so badly it sounds like an entirely different character in English.
Not to say voice actors need to be done by the people they are supposed to represent. But Wuk just sounds like a gay brazilian boy now if you ask me.

Considering how many manga translators have been caught localizing gay people as trans for the English audience. I'm starting to notice a trend.

Instead of making a compelling new character that's trans, they take Bridget (famous for being the trap character, and causing phrases like "everybody's gay for Bridget"), and turn him into a trans woman.

It ain't even just me going "ew tranny" there. It's retconning an existing character and arguably even worse, retconning a character in such a way that you turn them into a grooming victim that apparently wasn't a victim because he "actually wanted it all along". That sounds like just the worst message to push and really doesn't help if you want to stop the grooming allegations...

Ah well. Tekken seems better anyway. Reina definitely stealing the show as the new T8 debut.

Square Enix and Capcom have been hit fairly hard by the DEI stick too. Hell, the former is even on Sweet Baby's list. These people are deeply resentful and racist toward's the Japanese. That's why even weaboo RPGs like FFVII Remake have weird-looking Unreal slop black NPCs peppering the world now.

Yes, but because these are international releases. The Japanese oriented ones like Visual Novels will be mostly unaffected.
