I fly a lot and I've noticed a trend. The people you see on airplanes vary, but one thing constantly sticks out. There is a trend of younger black men who wear only sweaters, hoodies (with the hood on, for some reason), sometimes sunglasses (even at night, for some fucking reason) and they act like they own the entire fucking row of seats on an airplane.
Everybody else I've sat next to on an airplane, especially more mature black men and women, typically traveling for business, they act normal. It's just the younger ones that dress like thugs and act self-entitled. They also love to get in everybody's way, yell, play their music on their phone for public consumption, etc.
We're all sitting on what is essentially a bus, one that goes in the air, is cramped, uncomfortable, filled with hall monitors who bring overpriced drinks and tell you to put your seat belt on. So why dress and act like you're a thug?
Tell me Kiwis, why do young black men act this way? Do you have any stories to prove or disprove this?
