I hope Death Battle remains active, though that is unlikely

I've seen people blame Gavin for Joel getting the boot but I don't think that was the case. I was never super into RT and it's been years so I can't really remember the details but Gavin didn't make that much of a stink about Joel's advice. Gavin is antigun and was concerned about having a gun in the same house as him and Meg. I think it was said as a joke but I honestly think it's probably for the best. Put it this way, if you had to live with Gavin, do you think you'd be able to resist the urge to shoot him?

Anyway, Joel was too based for the sheltered zoomer fags at RT. What pushed them over the edge was definitely the BLM riots a few years ago. Any position to the right of sucking off the niggers, tankies and good old looters was never going to fly at RT. The fact that Joel's supposed friends, the same people he helped to found RT with, stabbed him in the back says everything you need to know about them.

You've got to remember that as a founder Joel took a massive risk in going all in on fucking Halo animations. All the founders did and they all built RT into a real powerhouse in it's heyday. Joel's job, outside of VA, was in the advertising department. He was the one that got them sponsorships and I wouldn't be shocked to fine out that he probably was responsible for bringing in the most money out of all of them.

RT and everyone at the company really deservers their fate.

“Be realistic, RWBY takes millions of dollars, no way that indie team that wants to buy it can do it”

NO IT FUCKING DOESN’T

It only takes millions because of RT’s bizarre, broken pipeline, a smaller team that actually knows what the fuck they’re doing could bring the costs way the fuck down
I know that earlier in the thread, I posted a link to openMoonshot, which is what DreamWorks currently uses for their films. There's tons of tools out there that would have cut costs down and yet they kept clinging to the same old shit. Hell, Unreal Engine could have been used. Oh well, they paid the price for all their follies with unemployment.

You guys are all wrong about the most embarrassing RT thing: Off Topic: An honest discussion & its not even close.

TLDR: it’s basically an hour Geoff Jeremy Gavin Jack & Fiona completely soy coping on max level. This came out around the time George floyd died so that gives some hints. It’s honestly completely unwatchable. Theres 100% a argument that off topic episode is what confirmed both AH/RT would end up dead
Personally, this episode was what made me realize that AH/RT would never again make content aimed at people like me

Some more tweets and what not
These stupid cunts didn't "act like human beings" when they disowned and attacked most of their fanbase over "incorrect" politics and the sin of pointing out glaring flaws in the companies products. Or what about un-personing Joel for being the only funny (and based) founding father left in the company, some very "human" behavior right there.

You get what you give motherfuckers, shut the fuck up and take your well deserved lumps.

edit: obligatory Ky is a stupid nigger who contributed greatly to RT's destruction and needs to stop the internet tough guy act because no one is buying it.

See also: It's the same struggle session that includes Geoff's cuck crying over his cumdump ex-wife, probable illegitimate kid, and RT as an empire falling to pieces.

Truly, the bottom of the company, and the borderline for anyone who was still coping about the state of affairs at RT.

I listened to their podcast from the beginning, when it was the Drunk Tank, up to the episode where Burnie put a Mexico flag sticker on his laptop and started bitching about Trump. I was shocked at how easy I found it to drop these guys who I had listened to for hundreds of hours for, had followed since I was 9, in favor the host of Celebrity Apprentice saying he'd enforce immigration law. What was the point? You didn't scold me into sharing your politics you just drove me away. And even if I'd agreed with you I'd still have left because I don't want to be lectured at by someone whose job it is to entertain me.

Now I don't even recognize any of the people in the final stream except Barbara and Jack. Neither of whom have ever had a funny thought in their life and were totally out of place at RT which I figure applies to all these strangers as well. Jack is the fucking worst I have to rant about him now because he will never matter again. While Barbara would try to make weird, unfunny sex jokes, Jack just constantly bitched and moaned about nothing, he'd kill the mood and not understand jokes. He's potentially the least cool person to ever live; he's in the same category as Patrick Tomlinson. I remember him constantly referencing "Major Nelson's" latest uninteresting tweet, and trying to get people to take off their shirts to do the "truffle shuffle". He did both of so those frequently it still stands out in my mind 9 years since I consumed anything from RT, and despite not really knowing what either of those things are. When he first started showing up in things I thought it was a joke like they flew in one of their most autistic fans to be with them for a bit for MakeAWish.

How the hell did Piers Morgan get dragged into this?

From memory human vacuum Barbara was out for a meal with some people from RT and Piers Morgan was at a nearby table minding his own business. They kept giving him the side-eye and he eventually noticed and tweeted something innocuous like "If people want to say hello to me, they should just come over and do so", then Barbara made a tweet in response accusing him of perving over her and his response was basically what the fuck?

That's so weird because the best people RT ever pulled were folks that, while they worked hard at their content at the time, were basically just strangers. Micheal got his job because Burnie thought his Crackdown 2 rage video was the funniest shit ever. Ray was some dude from New York that pumped out achievement guides like no other. Monty was just some dude that made cool animations and got his gig there because RT wanted to spice Red Vs Blue up a bit, Matt and Jeremy made minecraft maps for them etc and so on.
There is also a key point to note that all of the talent had life experience that weren't entirely based on just gaming. Blue collar backgrounds, military, corporate, etc. the quality really started to decline when they started hiring low experience fresh out of college NPCs that have no life experience at all. Or they have an idealistic view of what the world outside of college is "supposed" to be like and strive to achieve it not knowing they are actually destroying it. It's like folks who dated before the advent of smartphone tech compared to folks who have had a smartphone within 10 yards of them since birth.

They should have just punched him in the head like Clarkson did.
Sure, Clarkson had a reason to do so, but it would have been interesting at least. And given Piers likes to brag his skull won that fight everyone would have gotten something.

God AH got so shit. It's insulting that they just had to defile it with nigger faggot politics before unceremoniously executing it. Their mission is to make it so any fond memory of something you love MUST be tainted with tranny child grooming or white replacement or orange man bad. Reznov laments that Dimitri should have died in Berlin. Achievement Hunter should have died during covid. The flimsy excuse of not being able to film anymore would have fit, and the completion of this humiliation ritual would have been avoided.
I know that Rooster Teeth was obviously doomed from the trump derangement syndrome since 2016, but man, 2020-2024 was just fucking sad. There's a reason suicide is respected in many cultures. Better to perish than cling to mere life.

At least the walking corpse has finally been put in its grave.

I think the biggest problem with Roosterteeth was they tried to keep a “We aren’t corporate” mentality as they kept growing from a 7 person team to a 30-60 person company to a 200+ person company with different divisions.

They had blatant favoritism with fan hires prior to being acquired with the Barbara and Kathleen drama (creepy as fuck considering Burnie freaking out over her in the podcast shit or the Last of Us video). Some of these hires did fit it, but a lot of them were like mashing a square peg into a round titanium hole. If I remember the Glass door reviews talked about this a lot. It wasn’t even on-screen talent, anyone who the Founders, the Podcast, or Achievement Hunter liked got better treatment.
They tried to do the were all friends shit as they grew and that doesn’t work. I’ve worked at small businesses like that, it’s the most hostile environment ever if you get on one persons shit list and RoosterTeeth was keep Austin Weird Liberals.

A small business can get away with a lot of horseshit, but I think the fact that they no longer had to think about getting revenue because DEI loans, Covid bucks, and worrying more about valuation killed them. The move to the giant warehouse was basically what I would call the start of their decline.

My god you just reminded me of it. That stream honestly needs to be entered into the historical record for what it was like during peak Black Lives Matter. Watch it and consider how fucking pathetic Geoff is. A white man who built this company for decades groveling, fucking GROVELING at the knees of this uppity nigger bitch who's barely been here for a year. It's one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen and fills me with such burning contempt. You would have to slit my throat before I beg like this to someone who thinks I'm morally inferior because i have the wrong skin color. And if *I* feel this way, how do you think she feels? The utter display of superiority and contempt for this sniveling white boy.
The world should not have to suffer such potent cuckoldry.

This stream shaped me into who I am today. It's when i first realized that these people are our blood enemies and they won't be satisfied until we are worshiping them in chains. Better to die trying to eradicate this than to surrender to it.
(26:53 btw for when he breaks down over his wife being a whore. "it bothers me still")

When they had Etika (God bless) and Shofu guest star in an Smash Bros. episode, that was cool. Those two were gamers, and majorly affiliated in the irl scene regarding that game. At least, they fucking played video games.

The top comment said it all: "She just wasn't funny." Where the hell did all these nigresses come from? Mica came from nepotism. I recall her dad being referenced at multiple points. Fiona got in from riding Etika hard (even after his death), but still, yeesh... But Ky? Peak decline.
