I dumped rom from my "Pokémon diamond" cart.
I dumped rom of Telefang speed version, imported from Japan. I IPS patched it and out of curiosity I used myoldboy on two separate phones and for some odd and very autistic reasons the multiplayer works, trading and all. Resulting trading overpowered monsters from "Pokémon diamond" to Telefang speed version and it works.

Modern gaming is shit to the point I'm conducting mad scientist experiments with Gameboy roms and emulator for android.

I find fishing in legend of river king 2 soothing where punching wildlife in the face is mandatory including snakes, raccoons, wolves, brown bears, eagles and seagulls.

Catch bugs, fish, get money for mother's house and medicine. Catch river king, proceed to the sea, catch sharks, tuna and visit underground home of dragon king, catch sea king, make a perfect home and garden for your mom with your money and blessings from divine entities.

Link up to Harvest moon 2 to send bugs and fishes to build your farm there too.

steam is one of the few platforms that i do not expect to do harsh crackdowns on this

Great, but again, rate of consumption against time. If we both set out on console and PC to complete a list of 5 games each, we'll both get done around the same time and if more new games we want to play release by then, you having access to a bigger library ultimately means nothing. All it ultimately is, is a waste of money. Buying games you will never play is a waste of money. A video game you never play doesn't count for anything. It's not a bragging point, it's a file taking up space. It's not charity. It's reckless spending. Buying 100+ games, makes you a consoomer. You'll never play them all. If you do play them all, chances are you have no life.

Either way, the claim Pc Gaming is better because "you access to a library of 1000 games" is fucking retarded. The only reason PC gaming is better is performance and graphics. And if you don't care about either of those things, then a console is a better choice for you.

If I'm not on the AAA train of buying full priced new releases the massive indy library is a draw. I can buy 2-10 of them for the price of an AAA. If I don't get hooked by one it's no skin off my back. I don't have to convince myself that Sony Sister movie game #22 is any good. The entire Xbox library is on PC. The only console games I can't play that I would like to are GT7 and Zelda.

Plus I already have a PC for work and pro audio... plus you don't need a cutting edge build to play shit. I just bought a new card because Forza ran like hot shit (it still does) but it wasn't necessary to keep up with consoles. I kept my 770 for like 8 years until lightning took it.

This idea that playing on PC makes you a consumer whore is so tarded that I would accuse you of derailment if it didn't smell so strongly of fresh copium.

I don't know what the fuck you're seeing at all. The whole point of those pedo triangle symbols is it's a large triangle enveloping a smaller triangle, which is not what I see in Sweet Baby's logo. Sweet Baby's logo is just a generic swirl, which is more comparable to a toilet flushing than anything else.

All you have to do is close your wallet, open up your Steam library, and start playing through your backlog. Or break out the old console and pick up used discs. Or sail the seven seas. If something exceptional comes out that can make your point (like Helldivers 2), maybe support that, but purchases should become the exception rather than the rule.

I think this group wasn't meant as an organized "boycott" / a movement. I've noticed a lot of people saying "boycott" like this is some movement. It was just meant to be "SBI is involved with this. Here's proof." and that's that.

As for organization... Historically speaking, Gamers are THE quintessential model of a "Consooomer". Pretty much every other demographic be it movies, tv shows, cars, plastic trains, etc. whatever will just not buy or engage with something if they don't like it. Visual media like shows and movies and what not have changed over time though with the advent of online content production as well as social media ragebaiting. The concept of getting people to "hate watch" has legitimately become viable over the past few years.
But the video game player demographic has just been mentally rotted for decades now. Game bad? Buy it anyways. Game have less features? But it anyways. Mad about DLC and microtransactions? But it anyways. etc. you get the picture. Some organization would genuinely help retards vote with their wallet because without that, they're just gonna consooom if historical trends are anything to go off of. Gamers that actually just don't buy the thing that upsets them are a surprising minority. But also games are reaching new heights of price and new lows of quality. So perhaps it has hit a breaking point.

Very good post. I have actually talked about making a compilation chart of older games in another thread, and this would be a perfect time for it. You basically summed up how this would work: Focus on older games and ignore the new slop. Think how many older titles could have revived communities and new fan content created for them, newer players deserve to experience these titles just as much as anyone. They just need to be informed about them. This would also deprive the new slop of these players, and most importantly, money, a win-win.
Another good reason for a infographic like this would be to figure out which version of the game is the best one: There is so many re-releases and Director's Cuts and what have you that it can get confusing for newer players. I will have to dig up older charts I found on 4 and 8chan but they will be outdated, something new will have to be made to add newer worthwhile releases as well.


Apathy to Sweet Baby adjacent titles is only half of the fight: The other is directing players to something better, otherwise they will start consooming again out of boredom and the cycle will repeat. This is important to remember, you have to think long term, otherwise we will end up with GG1.0 which was largely directionless after a certain point.

It's not the playing on PC makes you a consoomer whore. Accumulating a library of hundreds of games you've never played is what makes you a consoomer whore. And that's exactly what a lot of PC gamers tend to do.

Selection only matters when you have a capacity to enjoy the selection. I'm saying that time is a limited resource and limits your selection outright. So there's no real difference between a PC and a console because time is such a finite source. It's an endless buffet, but that buffet is limited by your appetite. And if they keep coming out with games I want to play at a steady pace as I complete them, then selection doesn't really matter. Number of options don't matter when you're presented with something you want.

If I want Elden Ring DLC in June, I'm playing that regardless of whether I have a bunch of other options and that's what my time is going into. If July sees Death Stranding 2, it doesn't matter what else there is, if I want to play Death Stranding 2. If August sees a sale on FF7 Rebirth, and I spend a few weeks on that...Do you see what I'm getting at? WANT trumps over options every time in this regard. If I'm constantly presented with things I WANT, then a bunch of other options don't matter.
