The team he is a part of is by no means a great team, but they should be good enough to probably get him a spot to start the race. He could very well end up starting dead last though given the team he is part of.

Tonight's race was ended early due to rain too. They only ran 115 of the scheduled 150 laps.

EVS' mockup of the Cyberfrog wrap was for a #10 car. I'm not sure if that was a generic number used for the mockup or if he's actually driving the 10 car next at Talladega but it only completed 17 laps in tonight's race and finished in 37th place.

I think his dislike for the original FNT show he was a part of was that he felt the others were all beneath him. There he was, an established professional in the industry they all worshipped while none of them had actually done anything with their lives except consume the product he'd been shitting out for 20 years. He had no respect for them and just saw them as a means to an end (farming their audience for new customers). He sees his own Youtube audience the same way.

He actually tells his audience he's only doing this for superchats and they don't seem to care. I've seen this happen with other streamers I used to watch too. They seem heroic and honest and have a mission. Then they don't keep their word when push comes to shove and they try to find another "cause" to try to keep the momentum but like everything it eventually burns out. EJ has a new comic coming out Monday so this is gonna last at least another month

It's become really shameless. As someone pointed out a page or so ago EVS started out criticizing Youtubers and preaching how he was an actual artist just using Youtube because he had been silenced in his own field. Now that whole bit is memory-holed.

Also the only thing about EVS' books that aren't digital are the base ink outlines. He immediately scans those pages in digitally and sends the files to his colorist who paints in all the backgrounds 100% digitally. Then those files get sent digitally wherever for printing.

His beef with Eric July is that a true amateur beat the shit out of him at his own grift and that cannot be allowed to stand.

As I understand it, EVS is still upset that FnT/Az/Mauler is ignoring him because he called them zeroes, which was a really dumb thing to do if he wanted them to promote his stuff. But what started that in the first place? Did he just insult them out of the blue or is this one of those ironic situations where he wanted them to promote his stuff but they were not responding fast enough, just like what he did to many small comics creators? There is certainly a parasocial component to the CG fandom. In the early days, there was alot of crossover from the fandom menace which in some cases brought into CG people who didn't care about comics at all but liked the streams for the same reasons they liked the fandom menace streams. They would often actually back or buy the comics, but not because they cared at all about the comics. It was about supporting the streamer. Testefy-HD was a good example of that sort of person.

The early CG "comics roast" content from certain streamers also sometimes brought in an audience that didn't care about comics but liked to listen to roast reviews of bad comics.



Even the base ink outlines often don't seem to survive the digital process used. Most of Ethan's effort in the inking is completely lost by the time the digital pages are produced. What is being done is way more than just coloring.

I remember the bleed over. A lot of people came in from the Fandom Menace during my brief time hanging out in WC discords.
