Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

steam is one of the few platforms that i do not expect to do harsh crackdowns on this
maybe i'm wrong, but so far valve has taken a very hands off laissez-faire approach to steam community features
I just checked the steam group page before catching up on things. The guy running it has apparently been pretty involved and speaking with Steam Moderators, making sure they're 100% within ToS. He had to delete some discussion threads but those weren't doing much anyways. Considering that this group is doing nothing other than just saying "This group had a hand in its production" they're not really doing anything to violate ToS. Retards also jumped the gun too fast because now steam is aware that it's been getting mass reported for no reason, all the while the guy running it is more than happy to make sure it stays in line with ToS.

As it currently stands you're right on the money. There's no real way to ban it atm.
Guy running it was pretty smart going the route he did.

Edit:
I love this meme so much when it comes to explaining gatekeeping.
It frustrates me that we can boil it down to this level of direct simplicity—and troons will just go "the hobby is problematic and needs to change!" rather than having a shred of self awareness about them, or finding another hobby.
They are cultural locusts. They want in on whatever is big and popular. They won't make their own space because that means you can ignore them, and thus their endless thirst for attention isn't satiated.

And sandnigger countries.

Ay.

If you don't believe me, go ahead and keep track of what you buy at the grocery store. I bet you its the same few things every time. There's dozens of experiments in Psychology proving me right.

Go ahead. But if you think dumping a hundred dollars on 20 indie games is pwning the corpos, remember Steam has close ties to Microsoft. If you really want to pwn the corpos, just pirate.

But like I said earlier in this thread, the hammer is going to come down on pirating pretty hard soon and I have a feeling Sweet Baby Inc will be the driving force behind it.
That's why I only game on the Atari 2600 that I've had since I was 4 years old. It has 523 games and I don't see why anyone would need more than that. I stick with what I'm familiar with, like most people, so having more games than that would just be confusing and a waste of money

Selection only matters when you have a capacity to enjoy the selection. I'm saying that time is a limited resource and limits your selection outright. So there's no real difference between a PC and a console because time is such a finite source. It's an endless buffet, but that buffet is limited by your appetite. And if they keep coming out with games I want to play at a steady pace as I complete them, then selection doesn't really matter. Number of options don't matter when you're presented with something you want.
You wouldn't know if you wanted the other things without trying them however. Consoles are computers for niggers at this point.
It's not the playing on PC makes you a consoomer whore. Accumulating a library of hundreds of games you've never played is what makes you a consoomer whore. And that's exactly what a lot of PC gamers tend to do.
How many consoles have you purchased in your lifetime? How many games for each console? One PC can play just about every game for all those consoles with the right software. Buying the latest $500 flavor of console to purchase the latest flavors of $60 games is just as much consumerism as purchasing $500 worth of Steam games during a sale and never playing half of them. It's both consumer whoring.

I love this meme so much when it comes to explaining gatekeeping.
I'm not sure why it's so hard for these people to just go with the flow, you'd think cattle would understand herd mentality but they keep trying to change all the little separate herds into one big faggy megaherd.

If I want Elden Ring DLC in June, I'm playing that regardless of whether I have a bunch of other options and that's what my time is going into. If July sees Death Stranding 2, it doesn't matter what else there is, if I want to play Death Stranding 2. If August sees a sale on FF7 Rebirth, and I spend a few weeks on that...Do you see what I'm getting at? WANT trumps over options every time in this regard. If I'm constantly presented with things I WANT, then a bunch of other options don't matter.

I'm not going to pretend I don't buy too many games when there is a sale, sometimes I buy bundles even, one time half a decade ago I bought all 3 Bioshock games for $15 and I only played the first one! I try to plan 3 months worth of games every steam sale and sometimes I just don't have the time or I get sick of a genre or a different mood strikes me. Guilty as charged. The most expensive games I own that I have not played yet are Ace Combat 7 at a whopping $20 and Rust (because I have no one to play it with) and Steam reminds me that I should get around to it literally every day. I bought Vampire Survivors for $2 last year and haven't booted it yet! there go the kid's college fund! I almost always play the more expensive stuff up front (I'm paying to play it sooner after all) but a few Indies will get swept to the wayside and they pile up into a backlog over time. I didn't touch Loop Hero for a year after I bought it but I put 20 hours in while I was recovering from an injury and an auto battler was the perfecting thing to play on my laptop.

It's no different from not canceling your games pass for a month when you are too busy at work or traveling or playing a non-included release.

It's also not keeping AAA SBI employing studios open because I barely play any of those titles! I haven't played CoD since the original #2, I didn't play Spiderman 2 or Ragnorok, I think Final Fantasy is terribly overrated... I haven't even bought Hell Divers 2 yet and I actually want to play that! I play gay board games, c-rpgs, survival games, Chinese engineering games and rogue-lites. I probably play 1/4 of new releases. I will buy the ER DLC on release, I actually liked Death Stranding 1 but I bought it on deep sale and I will probably do the same with 2, I might buy Dragons Dogma depending on how busy I am... or I might play some $10 indy from my backlog, I don't know yet.

The selection matters to me because I am fucking sick and tired of macintosh apples and mealy oranges, I leave them to rot on the shelf. I eat the mangos, I eat the kiwis, I eat the coconuts... I would take a bite of a durian just to try it knowing I probably won't finish it.

I feel like we are talking in circles and I have to go see Dune Part II now so that I can get some enjoyment out of my favorite Sci-Fi franchise before the normies swarm in and ruin mid-century pulp like they did comics. We can keep doing this later :p

Uh, no. They banned the Kiwi Farms one all the way back in 2016 just because Samuel Collingwood Smith cried to Gaben. He wanted my steam account banned too for no reason other than that I run Kiwi Farms.

Shit I forgot all about this. I think the server I knew was like 2012 or 2013. It's still fucking rare. Both group bans I've known have been a product of active human moderation. Valve and steam are really permissible for a platform of their size, even if they do sometimes fuck up.

Dunno if this was already reported, but the head of SBI challenged YTer The Quartering to a fight, then blocked the guy's account when he accepted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls19LRWrUlI Comedy gold. The details are near the end of the video.
How embarassing to duck the fucking quarterpounder himself. Though this smells a lot like toxic masculinity from sbi ceo tbh

Not surprising. It was full of content that would get b& on Discord
Optimistic but hopefully it might encourage some niggers to move off of dickscord

Imagine pussying out of fighting one of the biggest pussies of anti sjw youtubers. Lmao.

Edit:

Can you fags quit droning on about pc consuming or whatever, nobody wants to see that shit.

If you're only interested in playing whatever the next mainstream release is and don't have any interest in branching out (like emulating older consoles to play games you missed or older pc games that are considered classics or replaying games with cool mods etc), then you are a boiler plate consoomer and a console is a better fit for you.

Now stop shitting up this thread with this tired argument, this thread is about Sweet Baby Inc. I'm sure there's a PC Master Race thread you can troll instead.

IIRC he got into a fight with a game journo at a con some years ago.

I mean, Discord IS run by autistic Commie furries. Most people just use it because they have no other choice and there's not really a competitor in that particular space.
It's fine as a platform when you're on smaller friend servers, but the larger ones tend to always devolve into petty drama whenever some sperg inevitably gets banned. So many ecelebs go down because of what they say on their Discord servers. If you're a public figure, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Unfortunately, it can also backfire on you if you're somebody like a Youtuber/game dev and don't go ahead and establish an official channel that you're in charge of. See things like the lead Factorio dev getting banned from the subreddit because he told someone to fuck off with their social justice handwringing. Either you're stuck with the burden of running it yourself and having to waste time moderating a bunch of retards, or you're stuck having the "official unofficial" discussion board for your content being run by self-appointed internet janitors, who will be more than happy to turn their petty fiefdom against you if you do something they personally don't like.

Like many of you here, I work at least 40 hours a week to make ends meet. I have bills to pay and groceries to buy. When I drop some of my cold, hard cash on a video game, it's because I expect to have fun with it; to be entertained; to forget about my worries for a few hours. I don't want to be told that because I'm black, I have it so fucking bad (which I don't), and that I should have everything I want given to me because of it (because it invalidates the hard work I put in to earn said cash). Why would I want to escape real life by playing a video game that reminds me of real life?! That makes no sense!
I was sandblasting cabinets and thinking of playing power wash simulator.
