There was a method to the madness.

There is a client list, and there are transcripts of the Maxwell case. These two hypothetical documents are drastically different things.

When the Maxwell transcripts were being released, every major media outlet in the country (and a lot of independent ones) implied the client list was being released. I think there was even some minor slapfighting here over getting the title of the thread corrected to reflect that.

The Maxwell transcripts were mostly a nothing-burger. The general public thinks it was the client list, therefor the general public thinks the client list was a nothing-burger. Now people can put it in the past and go on with their lives.

In reality, the Department of Justice knows AT LEAST everyone Epstein had blackmail on, and they will never release it. All the evidence recovered from those safes in Manhattan we watched being recovered on drone footage never existed.

The truth might come out, but it will be long after anyone's reputation could be meaningfully tarnished. Fucking kids is bad, but it's not worth it to them to upset the balance of power.

What am I coping about? Did Maxwell go to prison for sex trafficking a bunch of girls to nobody? Was all the stuff recovered by the FBI on film just old graded papers from when he was a math teacher? I'm just looking at history, and comparing places where the level of contempt reached a breaking point. This isn't chest thumping, its understanding every society has lines that once crossed the general population will not tolerate the ruling class still breathing.
