Plagued Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

For people who love to damage control billion-dollar corporations and ESGs. Woke cunts don't buy toys and merchandise of woke shows.
Somewhat related but the Walmart clearance section can be a good finger-on-pulse to see what stupid shit being forced down our throats isn't taking. The worst of the ecoshit dies there. Weird off-putting minimalist aesthetic school or office supplies. Kids are pretty blunt especially, so the toy clearance section being loaded with the ugly diversity characters' merch is funny. Kids like animals, big machinery, buff chad action guys, and pretty princesses and mermaids. Sorry!!!

Ok so I have a consoooomer base that I haven't seen mentioned here, Taco Bell fans. I know this sounds random but Taco Bell fans are surprisingly devoted to Taco Bell, like more devoted then anyone should ever be to a restaurant. Whenever people talk about fast food no one ever seems to mention Taco Bell even though it has the highest average per store earnings of any fast food place in the US. I would argue Taco Bell has the biggest fan base, other restaurants have people who eat their but most people are embarrassed to admit they like any other fast food restaurant, meanwhile Taco Bell fans just love Taco Bell.

I do have a bit of proof for this, so reddit is kind of consoomer central as we all know. Check this out

Here is what you get if you look up Taco Bell, I think you see my point. With the other restaurants the top post results were stories that were tangentially related to the restaurant chain and the subreddits for these restaurants on the side were tiny. With Taco Bell, the top post results are post that are at best enthusiastic and at worst kind of obsessed with the restaurant and just look at the subreddits on the side. The Taco Bell subreddit has 156 thousand members, none of the other restaurant subs came close, and there is another fan sub that is also bigger then a lot of the other chains' main subs.

So why do you think Taco Bell has such slavish fans ?

Do they? I generally think they're horrible but every couple years for some reason I feel like getting a giant box of crunchy tacos and just eating them all no matter how horrible they are. The one thing they have that's actually good is Mountain Dew Baja Blast.

Going to post it here because I think it makes more sense than in the resetera thread.

I would argue this is typical consooooomer behaviour. All spazzing out because it's Fallout, or more the corpse of the IP. The show is not out yet, but it looks "sooooo good". "Looks absolutely perfect with a stellar cast!" ad nauseam. And of course there is already a shit ton of merch and those idiots can't wait to consooooom. Nothing wrong with looking forward to something but all in moderation. And not like this.

You'd think after Witcher, people would be more skeptical.

There's two camps driving this behavior as of late:
(A) The corporate leftist crowd who unquestioningly consume corporate products to own the nazi chuds(the nazi chuds hate coporate products so they love them on reflex)
(B) The "don't ask questions, just consume product and get excited for next product" crowd who, upon the show dropping and being mediocre at best, will flood comments with "well I thought it was OK" comments for roughly 24 hours before forgetting that product even existed and moving on to next product.

Don't forget Crowd A also calls Fascism a Corporatist ideology (which is a mistranslation of corpo which the Italian Fascists used to mean the body of the nation (Corpo = Corpse = Body) while they continue to consoom Product.

But I thought there was (e): Has a logo anywhere on it
Can't forget about (f): Someone online you don't know and will never see didn't like your purchase.

Express your interests and buy random expensive stuff you don't need, everyone does it. The only differences are frequency and what is bought. As long as you actually use what you buy and it's not an obsession with [brand] or a wall of low quality mass-produced junk, who honestly gives a fuck? There's an obvious difference between buying things and consooming.

It will never fail to amuse me when people who claim to be commies literally suck the shit out of the assholes of corporations while insisting anyone who doesn't is a "fascist."

You could slap an ObviousPlant logo on that and it would not stand out. This shit looks like the lowest effort action figure I've seen. There isn't even a background image on the packaging. That's the kind of shit product that goes into the trash compactor at the end of the month

i cant even tell who that's meant to be, the name is a man's name and sounds like it belongs to a mall lawyer, the person on the packaging looks like a woman, and the doll looks like a guy who works the gas station convenience store night shift

Remind me of how all of the live action little mermaid products at Ulta ended up in the clearance section for ages. They can fake reviews and buy articles in papers but they can't fake people buying stuff at stores.

It's supposed to be the sassy don't-need-no-man yaaaaas queen slay! nigger captain of the titular starship from Star Trek Discovery, bizarrely given a man's name for some reason and without explanation (to my limited knowledge; I'm not watching that shit to find out for sure).

Big issue with the games industry and the cosooomer culture at large. The laughable state of Naughty Dog, Last of Us → Last of Us Remaster → Last of Us Remaster again. And less than four years for the second game to get a remaster. The recent Battlefront Demaster. Bluepoint, who corrupt and destroy everything of value (Demon's Souls). Capcom's Resident Evil shenanigans. This shit has infested the industry and worst of all people are eating it up. There are of course some exceptions are might have some merit like AoE 2 Definitive Edition.

Edit:
What?!?
