Everyone who rated WataMote negatively simply because it was a "personal attack" are just a bunch of pussies. If you can't laugh at yourself, you're going to have a bad time.

I liked it. Thing was just brutal. No wonder it was so popular on 4chan they sent the mangaka their dicks.Everyone who rated WataMote negatively simply because it was a "personal attack" are just a bunch of pussies. If you can't laugh at yourself, you're going to have a bad time.
This. Miura got me a lot more because Berserk was unfinished, plus the jokes about him dying before it ended have aged like milk. Whereas Toriyama got three full iterations of Dragon Ball under his belt along with all his other work. Both sad ofc but Miura's death hit so much harder.Miura's death hit me harder, but that was more because Berserk would never be truly finished. It's sad Toriyama's gone yet inevitable. Surprised he lasted that long, to be honest. I wonder how much he had planned for Super.
Basically this. I gave it a 7 out of 10. Again not the worst show I watched, and it had a lot of funny moments. It just was harsh in a lot of ways. Also lol wut? They sent dick pics to the mangaka??I liked it. Thing was just brutal. No wonder it was so popular on 4chan they sent the mangaka their dicks.
I swear, it's in one of the omakas. The author says people sent them pics of their dicks. Also lol wut? They sent dick pics to the mangaka??
I think NHK is more fitting for most terminally online people, and is more of a story of an adult who completely fucks up his life with coom and bad decisions (ironically his otaku friend fares better). While "literally me" shows usually stick to stages before you completely nuke your future prospects.I don't actually know which "literally me" show I would recommend more, way more or NHK.
I overall like NHK more but I kinda see watomote as more normies/weeb friendly (although I have seen a few anons complain that the more recent chapters or nothing but CGDCT, but I haven't seen past that anime so I don't know where it goes)
NHK is a hard sell and not just because it's a mid 00s gainax show that's visually aged like milk in some places. I'm mainly thinking about some of the jokes like the punchline when sato gets addicted to online porn, to the serious parts, specifically Mikasa's whole motivation to "save" a 22 year old hikikimori.
Ngl, I think everybody should watch the episode about Sato getting addicted to an MMO, neglecting every other part of his life and ultimately getting catfished for laughs. I first watched the anime when I was 13 and I remember that episode most because it really put not just online gaming but the internet as a whole into perspective as someone who was kind of new to it. This episode of Cromartie High School was also an important watch, they really don't make shows like these anymore.I think NHK is more fitting for most terminally online people, and is more of a story of an adult who completely fucks up his life with coom and bad decisions (ironically his otaku friend fares better). Remind me of the joke where a young adult remembers being cringy as shit growing up, always makes for a fun gag.
They aren't allowed to make them like Cromartie anymore, because they say "faggots" and whatnot in cromartie, which is """dangerous""".This episode of Cromartie High School was also an important watch, they really don't make shows like these anymore.
Kinda, the thing is sato didn't become a hikikimori because he was addicted to porn, games, drugs etc. (hell I don't think they ever explained why exactly he had a mental breakdown). It was only after he fucked up his life that he discovered most of those things and made his life so much so much worse. And the way the anime ended give him just enough hope for the future that didn't feel too wish fulfillment but come off as too bleakI think NHK is more fitting for most terminally online people, and is more of a story of an adult who completely fucks up his life with coom and bad decisions (ironically his otaku friend fares better). Let me hit you with this take: Miura was absolutely dragging his feet and doing the slowest possible job for years (slow in both events per manga chapter AND chapters per year) and I just wanted him to finish the manga. After he died and they decided they could continue the story they actually started to pump them out at a monthly basis while advancing the plot. So that was good. But then they stopped that so now we are back to where we started, but not much fucking worse off.People spent a year saying "Miura is a master", "Irreplicable", "The GOAT" etc. etc. following his death... But then they quickly forgot that and flocked to an inferior product seemingly in desperate need to consoomerize something. It's a damn shame Miura died as Berserk was going through a boom (despite the horrid quality of the preceding 2016/17 CGI shows), but the master is gone now. I personally have no interest in reading someone else's interpretation of Miura's vision, and via a discounted Miura artstyle no less.
Ah yes, the "Spider-Man x Elsa" of the new gen.Leaving this here:
We'll never know what Miura's true vision for Berserk could have been, and it's all the fault of Idolm@ster.Let me hit you with this take: Miura was absolutely dragging his feet and doing the slowest possible job for years (slow in both events per manga chapter AND chapters per year) and I just wanted him to finish the manga.
No offence man, but just read a plot synopsis. There's more to a story than just plot progression.Let me hit you with this take: Miura was absolutely dragging his feet and doing the slowest possible job for years (slow in both events per manga chapter AND chapters per year) and I just wanted him to finish the manga. The best part of Berserk was the Golden Age arc. Afterwards was still good, but the incremental jump in Fantasy and light heartedness makes it hard to top the earlier parts. I should sometime resume reading from when they encountered that pirate. No offence man, but just read a plot synopsis. There's more to a story than just plot progression.
Dude, the Golden Age arc is a flashback sequence. It's a retroactive setup. It's not the totality of Berserk. Besides, the infusion of fantasy elements was handled excellently - the reincarnation of Griffith and his presentation as a (masked or reverse) chosen one whose being beckons the literal change of the World is awesome. The best part of Berserk was the Golden Age arc.
