With regards to people asking how he's not been punished for incest, it's just the difference between what's provable in a court of law and what us watching here are going to see reading into things.

Sexual crimes like rape and incest are notoriously difficult to prosecute except for particularly egregious or sloppy cases. There's generally no witnesses, and the victims are often traumatized from the encounter and don't end up making it all the way through the process of making a proper report, and in domestic situations there's also the factor of a fear for one's safety. Even just taking a shower right after getting raped is going to destroy a huge amount of physical evidence, and rape kits have to be used within a pretty short amount of time.

Here, we don't just have a traumatized victim, we have a severely mentally ill victim who's delusional enough to take pride in being her father's daughter-wife. While she could potentially say some stuff that makes him look terrible while not realizing it's going to come off that way, thats not going to overshadow that she's an outright antagonistic witness and victim and that's just not of any use for a difficult to prosecute crime like incest or rape. As such, they'd need outside proof to be so damning that it doesn't matter that Grace is antagonistic... Which is really only happening if Ben was to violently rape Grace on a live stream.

As far as what's making people on this thread call it incest? It's stuff like the ass slapping, weird fixation on her body, the general way he treats her, and now her dm where she's bragging about "stealing" her dad from her mom. I personally totally believe they're incestuous, but the reasons that I believe this aren't ones that you would be able to carry an entire prosecution for incest on.

The mom isn’t perfect and it’s not great that she bailed -although I don’t know if the kids were grown when she did, and it’s apparent that Ben was abusive to her too so that’s probably also a factor- but I can’t say I wouldn’t also lose some marbles if I knew my husband and oldest daughter were not only fucking, but that my daughter was trying to “steal” him from me. Victims of rape (and a lot of other crimes, but particularly sex offenses) tend to know their rapist. They'll be more prevalent when there's trust to be abused and the setting allows for more access to victims. So called trad life fits the bill here, with the generally decreased rate of interaction with the world at large, the insular nature of their communities, and the emphasis placed on female submission all making impropriety easier to happen. That doesn't make them the only subgroup that has similar enabling factors and more, and you can swap out the female submission bit for factors which may be more appropriate for other venues such as schools. Seclusion and access to victims are present with both, after all.

It can both be true that sexual abuse in these types of units is a problem and that sexual abuse in schools or any number of other places is a problem, and it being present in one doesn't invalidate it being present in the other.

The way I understand it, she bailed in the last year or two and was still in their lifes last year I think.
I've seen a clip of Ben and Grace talking about how they had to break her down with all day every day struggle sessions for months on end to make her behave and if you watch her interact with people you can see that she's extremely off. Like there's nobody there behind the eyes, her default mode is just passively accepting anything people throw at her, saying what she hopes will Ben would want her to say, and smiling.

I've no idea how she managed to talk herself into a divorce, she seems to 100% defend Ben and Grace on every horrendous thing they do. Perhaps it wasn't even her idea and Ben just wanted to be alone with Grace?
Maybe someone who follows them knows how that situation came about, I only watched the Shamoo vids, some clips and some panels they were on.

Disorderly conduct only carries jail-time if it has a modifier of something like a deadly weapon or if he endangered the life of someone. It depends heavily on the state and their sentencing guidelines. Judge could just give someone a fine.

Bdp is up there with narcism in disorders resistant to treatment. Very few manage them well . I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy children. People who suffer the most aren't the bdp patient but their families and children who get the worst of it from the disease .
