You’re not wrong that the tone of the two books is very different. I haven’t read the second and third Ark books so I’m only familiar with the later trilogy and they all clunk along in a way that makes me think they’re the work of our little piggie.

We're sticking with Dallas because it would be close to any of the jobs I could take there, and there's quite a number of jobs for her. I'd like to get a ranch or something since I'd take to take care of animals while I'm not working. Austin from what I've seen is just crime central. Only good thing about them is that that's where Games Workshop's headquarters is for USA. If you ever get a job with them as a manager they have you stay there for a month or so for training on their dime. When it comes to the people, they're no different than the ones in Alberta and Saskatchewan so it'll feel like home. Other than it not being cold and no mountains nearby (which sucks). Some parks there are pretty though. They also allow for guns and give you the ability to protect your family which is awesome.

It also explains all the inaccuracies in the text; it's not Pigger trying to make himself look better for the lawbot, it's the lies he told Nikky to obfuscate just how badly he fucked up by being a bullhead swine. Cryptic Web Chronicles managed to get on Mekotur's radar and turn Pat mainstream with no budget and an AI voice. You can do anything you put your mind to, including writing a Tiny Tim revenge novel and getting Tor Books to publish it before Pat's.

That's one of the things I do like about Smokey: he knows when to point people in the direction of others far more knowledgable about certain cows than he and doesn't try to "claim" anyone as his like certain creators do. If memory serves, he only did this one video on Pat because people kept asking him to do one on him.

Honestly, I'm not sure if Porsalin's documentary is even needed at this point, given Cryptic Web Chronicles has pretty much beaten him to the punch. The only thing that might be worth the wait is Porsalin's own observations and how many times he can describe Pat as fat (which, to be fair, you can't do enough of) in his unique brand of commentary.
