Gamergate 2.0 will be born from the ashes of this little slapfight. Definitely a safe bet as history has shown time and time again. Many good games have had newsworthy success but "just release good games" isn't a lesson AAA devs have any intention of applying. Releasing some live service slop that turns a profit and lets its microtransactions do the rest is still the path they'll take. Only problem they've been having there is the quality has been dropping hard enough that even casual gamers won't buy them.

Essentially correct but the boycott still hurt the parent company because they had to pay to throw out a monumental amount of beer and for people in other fields It makes woke pandering look less safe. One of the biggest tools woke activists have at their disposal is the Idea that they have already won. you are alone, you are one of a few people who will not suck the girl dick. Look at Yongyea's history and see if he praised any of the games influenced by Sweet Baby or Kim Belair or any other woke faggot involved in the industry. It doesn't matter to them, they're just going to keep grifting.

This sniveling chug shit is on basically every Canadian website because you need it in order to be eligible for certain federal assistance programs. Grants, employment scouting, tax benefits, whatever. Besides the first sentence in the second paragraph it's pretty standard; frankly it's far from the worst I've seen since it's not a pop-up you have to click through and it doesn't hyperlink to any chug charities. The Australians have similarly aggressive acknowledgement requirements for their businesses as well, so you'll see that stuff in their games every so often. Here's one from the start of last year's "Stray Gods", which was funded by both governments:

Yes and no. Remember there's a 5 year lead time on some of this shit, thanks to the gamedev cycle. The games coming out today were started back in 2019, at the height of all this shit. This is cope, I'm sure, on some level, but on another very real level we won't see the full collapse of this shit for a few years after it's happened.

Part of the reason they're trying to start shit may be to try and brew up a scandal so they can claim relevance again. "You need us, the evil chud gamergaters are still around and we're the only thing keeping your games diverse and inclusive and ensuring the maximum audience outreach potential."
