Feral cats in cities need to be killed. That most states catch them and sterilize them is all that keeps their numbers in check. If it weren't for animal rights fags, they'd simply be euthanized instead of set free to fuck up fauna some more until dying of misfortune.
Stray cats (semi-feral and sometimes suitable for rescue) are more of a grey area. But ironically, they're the ones who end up getting euthed on apprehension the most since there aren't enough people willing to take them in. Do I feel bad about it? Not really.

Animals and all living things most definitely have a soul in Christian theology, this is how God created them and gave them life distinct from inorganic materials. It isn't a rational soul with moral culpability like human beings have but they do have the more basic vegetative and sensitive components.

Whether or not these animal souls in fact survive death is not defined in Christian theology and doesn't really matter as judgment at death and salvation through Christ's death and resurrection is only necessary for human beings due to our original sin (same reason it would not apply to sentient aliens).
