There's a beauty in his spiteful slander about Josh.

Josh is well-respected by his peers, loved by his friends, has several accomplishments under his belt, the adoration of many different communities, a loving family that he has an extremely positive relationship with, rekindled the relationship of him and his brother, and is just generally an all around pleasant person who carries himself properly, if occasionally incompetently.

Jerry has been ostracized by his family, has destroyed his relationship with his siblings, is respected by almost no one in the one community that tolerates him, has done jack-shit in his life, acts uncomfortably around his friends, is quickly poisoning his body with stress he causes himself by never taking breaks from the internet/caffeine addiction/making the decision to transition, has a handful of friends who never seem to be around to defend him, and carries himself with all the pleasantness of a handicapped skunk that takes a bite at anyone who even so much as looks in his direction.

It's no wonder he has it out for Josh. Dude's life is so shit he figures there has to be something wrong with him, and Social Justice gives him the ever so convenient tools to find them, true or not.

Though I imagine if it's something Jerry thinks "would have been done pretty quickly", it's something stupid, niche, and generally bone-headed and not actually pertaining to the source material he's referencing, but there's some vague assertion that there's an insult to somebody he doesn't like somewhere so he passes it off like he's clever.

It's Tarintinos take on blaxploitation movies and it handles racism a few times. There's a scene jerry infrequently gushes on about (likely the one he's referring to) where there's a klan rally but it's all heavily comedic and they're displayed as being woefully incompetent and amateurish.

That...literally makes no sense since, from what I've been told about the Klan during the Civil Rights years, they were genuinely something to take seriously, getting away with actual lynch mobs and being a mostly anonymous campaign to assault and threaten the lives of Black people.

Sure, we take the piss out of the Klan today, but it isn't because they were ever a joke. It's because we mock them for being racists and don't like racists as a society.

The better part of me wants to think that Jerry's loves the scene for that reason, and not because he genuinely is stupid enough to think that the scene was an accurate depiction of the KKK.

But considering his love of Family Guy...

Actually, the Klan hadn't even come into existence by the time of that movie, which was a couple years before the Civil War. The Klan-like group in the movie is fictional.
