It is a terrible reason to call somebody a pedophile. Even the most biased sensationalist no-standards news source stops short of calling a 17-year-old who got smoked by the cops a 'child'. That's simply not how we, as a society, use the word 'child'. Calling somebody a pedophile for not abiding by your uniquely idiosyncratic "when they turn 18" definition is ridiculous.
But no one is calling kids in middle school or younger adults (which is the age we're talking about with girls who have boobs), except people who have very bad intentions for them. Especially since like I mentioned, girls being creeped on and basically ripped from their childhoods the second they start puberty (no matter how young they are) is a pretty common problem. I went through it and I think it's something most women experience to some extent.

There is a really good word you can use for situations like that and it's called "sus". Some of your statements have been "sus". Some of mine have been "sus". Probably everyone in this thread, at some point or another, has said something "sus". The cool thing about "sus" is you can articulate your concerns and point out the red flags you're seeing without outright calling somebody a pedophile, and they get a chance to clarify or add context to the sussy thing they just said.
If "child" is supposed to refer to prepubscents exclusively that's kinda fucked since girls typically start puberty sometime in elementary school (between ages 8-11). 8-11 year olds are children in my book regardless of how developed they are.
It's not really fucked, it's just what the word means. I agree that there's a large grey area of crossover, and it's common and not at all weird to continue referring to girls as "children" long past the dictionary definition, and somebody calling a pubescent ten year old "not a child" would be extremely sussy, but generally around 13 or 14 we stop calling them "children" and start calling them "teenagers". The older they get after this point, the weirder and weirder it is to continue calling them "children", to the point where it's really unusual to see people referring to 17 year olds as children unless they're deliberately trying to use very emotionally loaded language to push a point.
Still, continuing to deny children (as in like 8, 9, 10 year olds) can have secondary sexual characteristics like breasts and insist only adults have those things after being told how young female puberty begins and even being linked to medical papers on the subject is mad sus. Which is what happened in that thread from what I remember.
