So what is the right course of action in your opinion? Curb stomp any thought of adding any miniscule thing that can somehow be turned into a full return of SJW's later down the line? So, no races, no ethnicities, no humans at all because they'll find a way to use it as a talking point into getting their way back into the industry? Because that's what I'm getting from you and you're just hitting the other side of the horseshoe with this type of rhetoric.
You are getting this from me not because of what I said but because you have a chip on your shoulder regarding people who are right-wing and are projecting it on me, that's not something I can help you with.
I told you in plain text what I want went it comes to the western gaming market, a return to the normal state of things as it was many years ago where games were made primarily by white people for other white people because that was the demographic that was responsible for and interested in the product. It doesn't require any of this crazy spiraling you think must be necessary.
Can you pinpoint anything specific in the game that turned on the red lamp in your head? Or are you going off me praising a character using current day wokeness rhetoric and how this character was nothing like it?
I don't have that much of a problem with the content of the game itself at least from what I remember from way back when I played it, I know the sequel went down some usual woke rabbit-holes but that is to be expected. I only mentioned it because you yourself admitted it was an intentional design choice to increase diversity and inclusion ect by the developers. And you mentioned it as an example of something that worked. That's an issue, you can't pick and choose, you're presenting them entering into the industry and inputting their own ideological pozz-load into it as something desirable to return to. The patient is presenting early symptoms but they're benign, that's still not good.
Have you thought about the idea that you might be using current day wokeness as a gauge of what is too much? That you've been acclimated?
In general with games there is also an opportunity cost with these things, before any of the outward obvious signs everyone hates there are many many almost invisible poorer stories, less-well-made systems, roads not taken ect. These things are hard to identify because you don't know what could have been, and also because if you point it out people who still like the game will attack you to protect their darling.
Whichever approach you're trying to go with here is bound to fail if you want to put a dent in the current state of the video game industry. You're not going to appeal to the current general audience with a rhetoric like that because it's just retarded, and it reeks of /pol/tard levels of moving the goalpost to figure out the time of true whiteness, and they moved it so fucking hard they went back to caveman times.
The majority of people are retards that will buy anything that has a brand name on the box, all your deep thoughts don't apply to them.
Yeah crazy how they don't care and will just buy whatever is popular, but also this particular angle is completely unworkable and you will NEVER get people to agree with it. You're stating that because you have an issue with the rhetoric and want that to be true, not because it is. If you had the current game offering and then somehow there was a separate space where people would get funding and not be disturbed making outwardly right wing games(or rather games made by right-wing people) the latter would be way more successful and that's obvious to see regardless of any misgivings you might have.
But I get it, Metokur said a decade ago that being moderate is what killed Gamergate so you gotta go full /pol/tard in hopes this'll actually succeed, even though right now it's the normies that are doing all the heavy lifting in this story, not underground retards like us.
Once again the normies are now conscious actors in this scenario and they'll drive things instead of drooling retards that do what is told to them as you saw them previously. Yes the mass of people is the actual important quantity here on some level when it comes to the industry itself, but that mass is moved and swayed by a small group of radical/fanatic people, as is plain to see from the current circumstance. It's not even just politically radical, even engagement wise being radical is sufficient. Big franchises have rabid long-term fans to thank for the hype generation when it's time to publish a new entry into the franchise, or at least they did. You can see this with the new star wars trilogy, it was dogshit to be sure but the leadup hype to it was immense and it wasn't hard for Disney to achieve this because they had legions of long-term dedicated fans making content, explaining concepts, exciting people ect...
I didn't and don't really watch metokur outside of clips I see and the like, but if that's what he said he is right. Gamergate was stuck censoring and policing itself from very early on, desperately trying to appeal to the left and cutting out aspects of their own movement to do so. You can see it even today in people who rail against any wiff of right-wing thought but use a velvet glove with the left, attacking only the most outward signs in the most PC ways.
You inevitably neuter yourself when you do that.
