They really don’t have any other choice in the matter, to be quite frank. It seems pretty clear at this point that whatever coalition was behind Biden is fracturing more and more, and however much the factions disagree with one another… you can only spin things so much. The results of the classified documents probe is already out, that particular genie just can’t go back in the bottle. That means they have to make do with what they have, which is to acknowledge that Biden is indeed undergoing mental decline but to a much smaller extent than originally claimed.
That’s not a good outcome, they really would rather call complete bullshit I’m sure… but the amount of people who’d buy that would be pretty small imo. And hell, theoretically it could be the original probe finding was embellished and this really is closer to reality but being that it’s literally just a transcript it can be faked as much as any other text document. TL;DR- the admin is pretty fucked already and this was the best damage control they had.

There is a reason there is so much panic over Project 2025 going around on prog circles you know. It is basically doing what the progs did with Obama and Clinton weaponization of the fed except instead of injecting thousands of progressive liberals in the machine and forcing conservatives and right wingers out it is pushing for right wingers and conservatives to take the positions and removing the progressive liberals or straight up closing and removing the position.

Depends on the concentration but salt and vinegar can can cause electrolyte imbalance, and salt in particular can cause brain damage. Normal vinegar is usually only about 5% acetic acid but you can buy 30% in the outdoor section of walmart or at the hardware store, which is really nasty stuff. For salt, if you chug a big bottle of soy sauce that's all it takes for a high likelihood of brain damage even with medical intervention. Even if he didn't go that far though, I assume a gulp or two before realizing holy fuck I should NOT be drinking this, saltwater is actually a really potent laxative
I'm going to guess what actually happened is the kid drank some, started vomiting and/or shitting himself uncontrollably, and the teacher/nurse had no idea what was in the drink so they took him to the ER to be safe and he had to have some IV fluids and bloodwork done to make sure there wasn't something worse in the drink as well
