whell she's an aussie, so basically this in natural evolution over a century or two.
somewhere inbetween. in terms I'd call it more "solid milfy" than lardass.
she was always more on the chubby side, people need to remember with older age there aren't that many options between cryptkeeper (usually a mother thing to get back to "old form") or inevitable hamplanet without enough self-discipline.
the allure of fame and fortune was always part of it, think of the whole hollywood starlet thing that's been meme'd about for decades. online and current zeitgeist just makes stuff easier like everything else.
as for the income part, most either aren't aware or more like think "they'll gonna make it!". in theory they're not wrong because if they don't try they never will, just like taking the greyhound to hollywood with 20 bucks in your pocket, and then dealing with the consequences. if it's a good longterm decision is a different question. at least back then most people didn't know and there was no online footprint.
