His mistake is that he's gonna have a response, and he announced it this fast. If you really want to defend your name and you can prove you're not a nonce, do a Mick Gordon, stay silent about the drama, collect the receipts and come out of the blue with a response so strong there'll be no doubts that you were always in the clear.
That is, assuming you ever were in the clear.
Does this mean Analog Horror can finally die?
My deepest hatred for analog horror stems from the fact that it bastardized what ARG means. Now it's synonymous with analog horror, even though it's something much better than that. I love ARG's because a real ARG involves the audience doing detective work to figure something out. Look at Trent Reznor's Year Zero project, look at Valve's MvM and Meet the Pyro ARG's, those were fun.
Analog horror isn't an ARG if all it is is a bunch of spooky YT videos without anything besides just them. It's just a web horror series. It's why i found Anomidae's Interloper series interesting, because it's an actual ARG. He has set up a puzzle for the audience to solve so that he series can move forward, and that's actually fun, that's what the MvM and Meet the Pyro ARG's were, and I'm happy there's still someone that remembers what an ARG is supposed to be.
To repeat myself one more time, Poland had it's first analog horror series before analog horror was a thing, and that was KrainaGrzybówTV. The big part about what I remember from that and what I see in the Western analog horror series, is that back then no one had any fucking idea who was behind the series and what it was about, with people analyzing it and coming up with theories and analyzing the beauty marks of the actress to figure out who was behind it.
Modern Western analog horror is all clout chasers, you know who's behind it on the very first episode published. The mystique is all gone, and the market is oversaturated. It sucks, Kris Straub, Alex Kister, Kane Parsons, you already know that it's someone's art project, and you know their names and their faces. No one knew who Wiktor Stribog was or what he looked like only after Smile Guide ended, and it's something no Westerner will get to experience with schmucks like these.
It really is a travesty that both analog horror and ARG's got bastardized by retards like this. Both art forms are very capable, but got their names stained by idiots that just wanted clout.
