Regarding this, the constitution indeed does not appear to matter. This is not defeatism in and of itself, non-defeatism would just be fedposting at this pointJust vote harder amirite? It will work eventually

Came and went already. It's just an interesting look into NATO.Will it be like that Afghanistan exercise where the "opfor" commander wasn't allowed to use strategy because that made it too hard for the NATO commander to win?
Has anyone heard about the "800k shells for Ukraine"?
If I was "drafted" in that way, managed to live and come back, and saw the chucklefuck that impressed me into service, he'd be lucky that getting beat up was all he got. These poor sods have to know their chances when they go to the front, I'm honestly surprised that there aren't more cases where these press gangs get murdered.Came and went already. Conscription has a side effect many don't take into account, as the Battle of Athens in Tennessee and this video illustrate:

In Odessa, a military officer beat up the head of a law enforcement assistance group.
PTS workers and the "druzhinnyky" who help them are not liked. Especially the latter, because it is they who beat Ukrainians, mobilizing them to the front. However, this time the hour of reckoning has come. The man of the AFU returned to his native Odessa, where he had not been for more than a year. The mobilized man went into a cafe and could not believe his eyes - there he met the man who a year ago kicked him as he lay on the ground.
The soldier did not miss his chance - and took revenge.
There's going to be a reckoning, one way or another, when this war is over in the Ukraine.
It's not really the fault of kidnappers. NATO needs more bodies to sacrifice. If I was "drafted" in that way, managed to live and come back, and saw the chucklefuck that impressed me into service, he'd be lucky that getting beat up was all he got. If there are no goons that are "just following orders" tyrants would just be impotently waggling a piece of paper and screeching about how it's the law now. They may not be the ones most at fault but there's room enough on the gallows for everyone. It's not really the fault of kidnappers. NATO needs more bodies to sacrifice.
This would threaten Euroclear with loss of license and pretty much put another nail in EU's economy.
And the EU with this move can say goodbye to euro’s status as a reserve currency. and place of investment, etc
Never mind of course destabilizing precedent that western countries would set by doing this. And accelerate the end of the dollar also.
Funny you should point this out. So far the consequences of this conflict appear to have hit EU the hardest (excluding Ukraine of course), and the reasons for that were either entirely self-imposed or imposed at the behest of the US. With allies like these...Weakening the EU and the € is a big bonus, in not the main goal of the US

There's also the fact that if the only choices you offer enemy soldiers are death or death, they're choose death by your hand rather than death by surrendering. Why surrender why you know you're dead either way? Better to take as many orcs as you can with you.Massacring surrendering soldiers and slaughtering defeated civilians to punish them for opposing you in a war, besides being evil, is simply bad policy. Emulating Genghis Khan ended with atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Putin's quite smart to keep the savagery and barbarism to a minimum, ensuring that most of the countries America has cried and whined at don't join the "cause," and see this as a regional fight over political issues, not a moral crusade obligating them to do something.
