Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

I was watching some people respond to the Mandela Catalogue guy thing and they get so angry and I don’t understand it. They’re like screaming into the microphone over it. I don’t know if they are pretending to care to get idiots to subscribe to their channels or they actually care in which case they really are insulated from the world.

>Cartels murder and rape people on the same landmass as us. Funko Enthusiast says nothing.

>Opioid crisis, over half a million dead. Funko Enthusiast says nothing.

>Slavery still going on. No response from Funko Enthusiast.

But when a self righteous retard who runs a fucking shitty arg for zoomers does something stupid or fucking hits on 17 year olds when he’s 20? That’s yiking over the line. That’s what matters.
Is that actually what happened with the guy? lmao. I don't like the guy because he's a cringe zoomer who went all HP Lovecraft over Covid-19 and used that energy to make demonic Looney Tunes, but this is such a non-issue. Also, how many times have I heard now that some guy is hitting on an "underage girl" who turns out to be 17 years old or so and only a few years younger than him?

A topic from the recent trends of horror in the past few years that really intrigues me are "liminal spaces".
Liminal spaces are the best at capturing that "dream" aesthetic/atmosphere/sense. If you dream vividly, you are quite familiar with that notion of going somewhere from nowhere. That's liminality at play. It's why, when you put a monster in a liminal space, it feels like a "dream turning into a nightmare". I would say this is the first horror any child learns, and why it appeals so strongly to so many people.
However, looking up videos on Youtube to watch on the subject, I get the sense people pseudo-intellectually dive far too deep into the subject, on why it works, and why it matters to so many people.
To me, succintly, the essence of liminal spaces is the essence of dreams. There's not much more to it than that.
A philosophical discussion of liminal spaces past the grasp of aesthetics really is just a discussion of dreams, in which case I shouldn't surprised by what I found, since that is a bigger hive of pseuds than AI and psychiatry.

I sort of wonder why more content creators in the 'spooky' space on YouTube don't simply avoid personal interactions with fans if they seriously want to make a career out of creating videos. It doesn't really seem like there's any upside to chatting with people on Discord as a content creator because it's such an easy way to have one poorly-vetted statement sink your whole career. If they're using the platform to socialize, why not just separate that from their Discord identity and not be such a twat about it?

But how are they supposed to enjoy the adoration of their fantards if they're not interacting with them on discord?

i think liminal spaces tap into some buried memories of the fear we experience as children when the world feels overwhelming and filled with unseen dangers, which is why they're often malls and swimming pools and supermarkets
but i dont piss and shit myself and scream when i see empty rooms and places like zoomers do because liminal spaces are, at best, slightly unsettling

Because they need pussy to live. If they don’t get it, they will die.

Really. It makes me think of the Channel Awesome shit show and the JewWario allegations where the victim tried to paint him as a pedophile on top of a rapist because she was "mentally underage"

That was so supremely stupid, I have no words for it.

True, I know I would love to have an army of adoring, brain-rotted contentslop consumers to do my will.
Naturally! Gotta share your fetishes with your parasocial fans now that you're big and famous! Just don't say anything that could be misinterpreted as being pro terf.

Dick pics away!!

Kidding aside, the internet is the best and the worst thing that ever happened to the common person. It's evident that these content creators, a majority I might say, cannot handle this level of attention and fame before it goes to their heads and they walk a razor thin line to have it nuked to fuck from orbit by some Twitter manifesto with 500 trigger warnings because they were idiots who engaged with a bunch of overly attached morons.

No one learns this lesson. There's a reason why most traditional celebrities don't get involved with their fans aside from social media posts.

Edit: words

I think a lot of these Discord cancellation things are linked to the fact that people become so attached to their online identities that they feel like they're not being given credit for their work if they disconnect it from their online identity. They'd probably be better off linking their work to their real world name because it won't be linked to edgy conversations they had when they were teenagers.

It's okay though, I don't feel too bad for these guys because I just remind myself that they willingly threw away a chance to never have to work a real job a single day in their lives for a crumb of clout and a bunch of parasocial friends.

Terminally online. Not even once.

a chance to never have to work a real job a single day in their lives
That's a very small chance. I'm gonna be real, I think it's really dumb to rely on such an unstable field as youtube for income especially when you're trying to garner a massive audience who can and will turn on you for the slightest of things.

It's essentially gambling with your own future.

Urban Spook confirm to have more Integrity and maturity than Alex Kister and wendigoon. Meanwhile Alex Kister so thin skin he calling anyone who likes urban Spook series a pedo.
Pot calling the kettle black. And the kettle wasn't even a kettle. It was a carafe.

Sure, but people with large patreon followings have made it work before, and if you consistently produce high-quality videos and have a little bit of an eye for investment (or just know what mutual funds are) you could probably get along just fine for yourself. Not that I'd suggest someone leave their job after one viral video,

It seems someone has decided to leak a bunch of behind the scenes stuff for future Mandela Catalogue content courtesy of his Patreon Discord, including a google doc of a .zip file; probably containing all that was presented in this thread, if I had to guess.
And here's the google doc of the .zip. Haven't downloaded it myself, though.

EDIT: a couple words

Ive gone through the leaks from twitter and archived where possible.

Speaking of Urban, I went to youtube and looked him up to see if there's anything new. I had to scroll through SIXTY videos, I counted, before I found a video from his channel. By the 20th video Youtube ran out of steam, here are some of the videos it recommended before giving me what I was looking for: A bunch of Urbanspook sucks videos, a bunch of Analog Horror Sucks In General videos, Greylock, a shoegaze and dnb playlist (the real horror was the youtube search alogrithm all along), Vita Carnis, South Park Analog Horror, Family Guy Analog Horror, a parody video of people trying to cancel Wendigoon, the Smile Tapes, and "Analog Horror Dinosaurs Are Actually Disturbing."
The kicker is that I am subbed to his channel, so it's not like I went out of my way to bury his videos from my feed, and granted his channel was the first result when I added a @ to the search query, but I never had to use that before to quickly find what I was looking for.
