Battlefront has never been a good game in any iteration, it was hyped because it came out right when Disney bought LucasFilms. DSP won't understand why he can't be Darth Vader, and that is all the salt we may get.

It's actually way more insane than that. The coop streams have had absolutely zero coop gameplay so far. It's just one of them with the controller playing while the other just talks a little and looks dead inside the rest of the time. You would expect coop streams to have, you know, two people playing the same game at the same time while cooperating with one another, but alas, this is the Burnell family, where logic and common sense don't exist.
Phil's "I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life!" coping sessions serves two purposes. 1. self soothing. Phil is an unhappy, anxious paranoid person and his self brainwashing helps him cope his self imposed nightmare. 2. to project the image of a family man to the dents. It is extremely important to Phil that people think he's a successful family man. Without his wife and "son" Jasper he's a loser bachelor like he was in his 20s.
He could have been among the first with direct capture, green screen, streaming and many other things, but Phil choose comfort and simplicity over being at the forefront and be considered a inovator and that is something that he has keept true to since he started doing YT. He dont want to be first, he wants things to be simple and work simple, because that means he has to put in less work, less work of learning things, less work of making sure things work before he starts streaming, less work of looking for new things.
I remember him bringing this up years ago, how he would be perfect to work at Microsoft, Blizzard or any other game developer simply because of all the years he had spent as a "gamer", it so long ago i dont full remember what he claimed, but it was something about he knows more, and better, what games should be like than any developer and his time as a streamer was more than enough proof of it and no one else was at his level.
