Phil shits on and otherwise insults every suggestion to make his shit streams even an iota more entertaining or tolerable and then wonders why he has to rely on the same 5 or so people everyday for the majority of his tips. He's quit or threatened to quit damn near every game he's played these past few months, as if getting "only" $1,000 for the 10th stream of a game that he paid $60 for is somehow losing him money, he takes fucking AGES to play through anything to the point that the people who may have initially been excited for the playthrough already played through/beat the game themselves or just watched somebody who doesn't waste hours a day on pre-streams/stream breaks/general money talk.

I give Phil another year or so before he drops gaming altogether. I think he was testing the waters with his Reacts channel and needless to say, that was an absolute failure because "duhuh"ing at everything just didn't end up being the formula to success/money he probably envisioned.

The thing is that there's record of Phil around those times and he was all about fighting games. His chronology with vydia is: games from childhood, move into fighting games and arcades, try to be a WWF character on the FGC, 4th place at EVO and YouTube. Today was a perfect example, he talked about the OG Battlefront like he used to play it in its prime but then didn't know how to switch weapons or that all-hero servers are a common thing. He acted like he first discovered it because he's first discovering it.

That's the answer right there. Phil THINKS he's a funny, witty, insightful, charismatic and positive guy. Remember all the day ahf segments where Kat would stream-cuck him and have him watch someone else, and then Phil would talk about how he's much more entertaining than whoever they were watching. I don't think that's him coping, I think he legit thinks he's just that entertaining, that's why he loves to watch his old slop. Any normal person would cringe watching themselves from 10 years ago making middle school sex jokes, but Phil will still laugh at them and even defend them, hell, he even described as Mel Brooks and South Park-style humour. He thinks that much of himself.

In his eyes, he's just a mature Cr1tikal (or whatever youtuber is known for their charisma) with nothing he can learn from the big streamers, it's just that people are too stupid to realize he's better. Just today, when someone asked him if he was gonna call the girl from Beyond Two Souls Ellen or Elliot, he had to just insult the person and laugh. Those streams would be deader than dead. Chat is the catalyst of entertainment for him. Nothing Phil does in game or says on his own isn't funny unless someone sparks some shit to talk about that gets him on a tangent, or him flexing his e-penis to power trip on a random troll. Aloddapeepul in the chat wouldn't exist anymore to agree with his opinion or whatever wrong thing he said about something.

But with Him and Kat I'd love to see that. From what I have heard tonight though, he is essentially setting up streams with her to keep her occupied with the game while he sits there and does fuckin' nothing but read chat. He really is going down this path where half if not more than half of his streams are just going to be sitting there talking about fuckin' random boring shit.

I have never really believed anyone who tells me they just so happened to play the best games that have lasted forever, and always at the time they came out. Because I have just never met anyone who has actually done that. Especially in the turn of the century when buying games really was this crapshoot. Like I have had friends surprised I didn't play any Warcraft without the World until like 2010, as I think back to my Dad buying Lords of the Realm 3 over WC3 because of the endless hours we put into Realm 2...

Like its just so unlikely that he had all this time, all this money, and just always played all of these games you know?
