Case in point: Matt Walsh's Daily Wire compatriot Ben Shapiro, a huge enthusiast of classical music, famously hates rap music, claiming before that it's not real music. He believes that it's unharmonious and unmelodic in general and points to many popular lyrics being promotional of repugnant, criminal gang culture. Even so, rappers like Zuby and Tom MacDonald were willing to reach out to Shapiro and bond with him over common causes, warming him up to rap music in the process such to the extent that in the past couple of months, Shapiro jokingly participated as a feature spot in
a hugely-successful new song release by MacDonald. By engaging sympathetically with Shapiro, rap enthusiasts got him to engage sympathetically with rap music in turn, and though he surely still does not like rap personally (
which is absolutely fine to have preference in entertainment and hobbies), he's now more willing to speak amicably about it than he was many years ago.
