So much for the Steelah’s “having faith in Kenny and are giving him a Pro to learn behind”.

Odds they’re going to try and go all in with all the cap space Russ’s deal gives them to play with, or is Tomlin just going to drag them to mediocrity again?
This is actually pretty smart from the Steelers. Everyone thought this was the plan to have Pickett and Russ battle it out only to find out they traded him for a few draft picks. There is no telling what the Steelers are trying to do and that's a really dangerous position to be in, unlike the Bears who everyone has figured out they are trying to trade Justin Fields

According to reports, Kenny got butthurt when he didn't get the job back and had to backup Rudolph at the end of last year. Then with Wilson signing, it made him more butthurt.

So assuming how true those reports are, then it was smart to get rid of him and get as much as they could right now. Pittsburgh is still going to need a QB as they currently don't have a backup

Yeah he had a tantrum and refused to suit up. Don't need that in the locker room.

For the same reason Bears have to move Fields even if they boot him to waivers. He was dancing on the line of having a meltdown last season because of frustrations with the Bears.

I think the window of opportunity for the Bears to get a somewhat decent return on Fields has closed. They should have dealt him way before now. So Chicago has missed out, I think, on a potential highway robbery of a trade. We already know they're taking Caleb Williams, so just get rid of Fields now and stop stringing him along while you're building a decent team that he won't be using.

Maybe he should have stopped being a bitch and played better. I don't get this attitude of football players that get assmad for being relegated to backup in a position group. I never really see that mentality among professionals in other leagues. Is it culture? Is it personal outlook? I don't know, but I only see NFL players act like children when they don't get their way.

I think they didn't have much of an opportunity to deal him tbh. Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield were the first 2 who needed to drop before anything could happen. The Bears fucked up by not having a few trade partners ready to go in case they didn't get Mayfield or Cousins. Now they are pretty fucked with Fields even if they can take advantage of the Chargers cap hit (yet again).

A lot of players have to have this ego in order to make it this far. Unless you are just an unreal talent, any doubt that you might not be good enough can just destroy you. There is so much competition to get into the league that you have to be an ego maniac in order to take an NFL talent and make it in the league

It works to their detriment pretty often too. If you are any good AT ALL you can have a long, lucrative career as a backup QB. Teams are still fucking signing Peterman and he should be banned from ever touching a football.

Matt Corral essentially ghosted the Patriots because he wanted the starting job and now he's in the UFL. That's not a good career move.

I can’t find it again now that I’m looking for it, but I did get a laugh out of some morons accusing the Falcons of being racist for getting Cousins rather than Fields, or drafting a new (Black) QB. No points for guessing what demographic said morons are from.

They’ll give anyone a podcast these days.

Justin Fields has been traded to the Steelers for a 6th rounder (could end up as a 4th rounder based on playing time) in 2025.
"Sure - let's grab that failure from Da Bears to ride the pine for us. That worked out so fucking well last time around."

It's almost like they want to fire Tomlin.

It's almost like they want to fire Tomlin.
I mean, 1 Superbowl in 17 years, with an argument to be made that he won it with the previous coaches team considering it was 2008 (remember, Tomlin only took the reigns in 07), and beyond that the Steelers have been a team that's always just been middle of the pack. The Steelers under Tomlin have just been spinning their wheels for years now.

That said, The Standard is The Standard - Tomlin will somehow get a record over .500, only to get btfo'd in the wildcard, and will likely be employed until his deal runs out or the sun dies.

I'm not entirely sold on Caleb Williams. So I would like to think the Bears still might trade the #1 pick for a king's ransom and possibly come away with Marvin Harrison Jr and/or Box Nix/Penix.
Caleb Williams' father demanding that he get partial ownership of an NFL team is why I think he's going to end up not being this great prospect

Beat me to it lol. The Bears got completely fucked by trying to hold onto him and that conditional pick is probably going to stay a 6th cause they got Russell Wilson
I don't believe there were many teams clamoring for someone that is 10-28
