Why is it always Bionicle spergs with this specific strain of narcissistic autism? I don't think I've seen postings of Bionicle anywhere on the internet that wasn't overly aggrandizing Lego's second largest grift. And it's always out of nowhere and unprompted - it's never a case of being solicited for their opinions, they just awkwardly toddle into unrelated discussions specifically to prompt people about their favorite toys.

Good luck, I just don't get why someone would do this on facebook of all places. I'd be worried of building a nice group and then getting the group banned or subverted by the same fuckign faggot troons that infested the other one.

I don’t think it’s worse than the transformers debacle, wherein based on what I’ce seen you simply absolutely cannot discuss transformers without acknowledging transgenderism, but it’s still pretty fucking ridiculous in the Bionicle fan community. In fact I think part of the goal of the tranny posters is to reach the absolute state of the Transformers community. Not every post in Bionicle fan pages is tranny related, but every single Bionicle fan community requires you to acknowledge trannies’ “right to exist” as an entry requirement. Rules say shit like no politics, but trannies aren’t political. Rules go out of their way to make trannies feel extra welcome. Here id an example of someone (who was promptly banned) trying to make an inocuous non-tranny post, and one of 200 responses.
Takanuva, Toa of Light, formerly Takua, a Matoran of Light who for lore reasons did not know he was a Matoran of Light until he put on the Mask of Light, is constantly referred to as a “trans allegory” because he transformed from Matoran to Toa and didn’t fit in. Except the transformation of certain destined Matoran to Toa is basically a part of a Bionicle’s evolution/life cycle. As the OP pointed out in his post, Takanuva did not change genders, only, well, power level. It’s ridiculous to imply it’s the same thing as becoming a tranny and to impose that on a 2003 toy storyline. But if you dare to imply anything to the contrary, you will be labelled transphobic and banned.

I’m doing something about it and creating the Bionicle fan group I want, run the way I want it, the way it should be run. If anyone would like to join such a group, you are welcome to do so.

Because the BIONICLE fandom was essentially a furry fandom but with robot instead of animal OCs, "donut steel" edgy characters and all; so naturally, there's some overlap in behavior because both fandoms drew from that "obnoxious autist with weird transspecies fantasies" demographic. Now, combine that demographic with a lack of "popularity" such that there are no preexisting communities to contain the pests, and the pests must rear their heads in places "outside" their fandom, since their fandom effectively no longer exists.
As a side note, (un?)fortunately back in the BIONICLE fandom's heyday, it never got big enough to produce quality lolcows like the furry fandom did.

People nowadays just make figures or statues out of lego technic parts and call them "Bionicle" without realizing Bionicle was the story and had certain structures to the characters in it. I unironically believe the gradual erosion of what "Bionicle" is in the eyes of people online is what led to insane takes like "Takanuva is a coded trans woman because he turns white and has a different name!" OP pointed out.
Last year I got in a group call/stream thing with some internet friends and we watched the first Bionicle movie again in the first time in forever, not a single troon in sight and that's kinda important because a lot more people than I expected showed up to the thing.
Anyways the characters aren't robots (save for a few). The robot-y look is due to them being made of lego and in the actual lore it's treated like some kind of augged up exoskeleton because these were supposed to be a super advanced alien species that somehow ended up living on an island and using mystical powers. Very late 90s/early 2000s type of concept.

Yeah, a lot of people actually. There's also people that resin recast both lego and technic/bionicle parts as a hobby. Been kinda tempted to get into a bit of both sometime but I don't have the supplies to do so so I've just bought interesting ones I've seen on occasion the last few years.
