The American Society of Magical Negroes

The only good thing from this shit film is that I can now go around asking people what they think about Magical Negros

The full plot is on Wikipedia. It sounds even worse than expected.
I was just reading the Wikipedia article an hour and a half ago, and I've been painfully cringing a whole lot. Pretty much like most things in the entertainment industry, it's riddled with shitty fanfic writing that feels like it was written by a 7-year-old

whatever studio made this needs to give them reparations NOW
The studio that made it was Focus Features, a subsidiaries of Universal, their parent company is NBCUniversal, and the owner of all of them I mentioned is (arguably the worst cable company) Comcast. So if you know which greedy studio, that also happens to have ties with Jeff Epstein and the CIA glowies, distributed this movie from the word go, you have them to blame

I was watching the double toasted's take on this film (mostly bc of their fued of Hollywood god) and I feel bad for black people by proxy that this film exists.

Man that's such a blast from the past for me, I haven't listen to Korey and Martin in 10 years when they were on Spill.com(and Martin went by Leon) and they all completely lost their minds in the mid 10's Internet culture wars.

Anyways, I thought was a funny concept, satirizing the trope of the magical negro by making a Harry Potter/League of Extraordinary Gentlemen secret world out of it. No way it could of been made well today and it really sounds like they didn't even try and instead pushed premise to the background.

Something I don't think has been brought up a lot: what the hell made them think the "magical negro" trope was still relevant? It might have been cutting edge satire like, twenty years ago. The Simpsons and Not Another Teen Movie made fun of it in like 2002. When's the last time you've seen it in a movie or TV show where they weren't directly subverting it or making fun of it?
