Today, men are socially not allowed to exist as sexual beings. The bizarre result is this form of Reddit sexuality, in which guys try to make themselves as non-threatening as possible in order to express “permitted” sexual energy This falls into a few main pathologies:
1. Fox in the henhouse / “acting gay to get in the sleepover” Straight men will put on gay affectations and take on feminine hobbies/interests, in order to be seen as “one of the girls” and thus not a threat Usually this type is very predatory.
2. Submissiveness “Step on me” “Need a girl who can just kill me” Etc. Being sexually normal is coded as icky, or at best old-school. As a result, men will express their sexuality from a weird, submissive frame. You’re “allowed to be horny” only if you take on this role.
3. Corporate Sterility, “Maturity” This is a very Reddit mode, which views sex as a contractual exchange. Obsession with Consent™ is typical. They flirt like it’s a sales pitch, but ironically are terrified of “making women uncomfortable.” (Partly a MeToo holdover)
4. Ghettoification Black male sexuality is still allowed in The Culture (see rap & other black cultural products). So, you’ll get white guys acting like DMX — because no matter how gross it is, it’s still seen as less gross than normal white male sexual expression.
5. Checking out A lot of men, particularly young men, become so repulsed by their own sexuality that they just leave it behind. Whether by MGTOW, descent into androgynous asexuality, or some form of militant anti-sex ideology, they try to get as far away as possible from it.
