The implication is that Niffty would have been alive and potentially have experienced the Japanese Internment Camps that FDR and the Federal Government set up after Pearl Harbor riled up immense anti Japanese sentiment in the US.
Oh I thought it referred to the torture subjected to one woman in particular. But still that is indeed intriguing, and puts into perspective her stereotypical obsession with cleaning, and her tiny frame (something about Japs being small lol)

You know your premise is pretty fucked up when it makes a million times more sense when you have Adam and Charlie switch places. The First Man looking after his descendant's souls and the Demon Princess loving her job of tormenting them.

Damn...
No fucking way humans haven't entertained the idea of swapping roles and places for characters in Christian lore. Shit sounds fire asf.

One thing that should be put in front of all discussion of these shows is that they are fujoshit made by a white American liberal woman, first and foremost. Then everything becomes clear.
I will never understand why white liberal women do this kind of shit. I mean, Mexicans and Black women do it too but it’s mainly, white liberal women.

She's actually mixed race. She does look white as hell especially with that fried blonde hair, but her father is clearly Mestizo.

Only one of his daughters looks vaguely Mestizo. He definitely succeeded in "para mejorar la raza".

He looks kind of fit. I always find it bizarre when I see a slim/fit parent with fat children. How are you fine with being less in shape than someone with a shared bloodline but an aging metabolism?

Hold up, am I tripping or does her dad kind of look like Alastor? I wouldn't have made such a connection if Vivziepop hadn't made half of her plot devices involving Daddy issues. So I can't help but wonder what her relationship is like with her Dad. Does her dad watch her shows? If so, does the Daddy issues in the stories set off alarms? Or is he like many Hispanic family members who enjoyed watching Encanto yet are oblivious to how the characters 's toxicity mirrors their own?

Possibly he did if the voodoo symbols have any significance, or possibly it's a retcon because people started whining about cultural appropriation.
Creeping out of hiatus to sperg on this gay shit.

My wife finally got me to watch this show, (Mrs. Gaddafi loves animation, bless her, so I’ve seen all the major cartoon fads.) After the pilot episode she started to explain to me the deep lore regarding the characters. When she said Alastor is canonically racially mixed I laughed.

There’s absolutely no way in hell (lol) a normal person would see a character that looks like that and think: “yeah, he’s black”. And most people don’t. A casual glance at fan art made prior to this fiasco mostly depicts him as white. So I looked it up and apparently this transition (after half a decade) to him being ‘mixed creole’ came very closely after her receiving criticism regarding his use of voodoo symbols. There are a few problems with this.

1.) Mixed Creole isn’t a thing, because Creole isn’t a race. It literally means that you are a descendant of the French and Spanish colonists in Louisiana. A person who is half Spanish half Anglo is mixed ‘Creole’, a person who is half French half African is also mixed ‘Creole’. There are white Creoles, black ones, native ones….they’re all tied together by a common culture (French language, which Alastor doesn’t speak, food, and religion). Historically even full blooded white Cajuns were called Creole, which would have been more common in Alastor’s day. Regardless there is nothing about Alastor that says ‘Creole’, he literally looks like the Anglo plantation elite who would spit on a nigger as he went to market, especially with the hunting motif (a very common hobby for the wealthier class the Deep South).

2.) This is the absolute worst thing you can do for your fandom. Remember when Steven Universe was big and that one girl dared to draw Rose Quartz at a healthy weight? Yeah. Hazbin Hotel attracts a certain type of viewer in the same way SU did, I can already see the massive breakdowns these speds are going to have targeted at fan artists depicting him as what he is…white. This is especially true for Asian artists who just aren’t interested in drawing niggers (another common controversy in the SU fandom when Japanese artists would depict Garnet or Amethyst as white). You’re pitting your fan base against each other instead of just saying ‘yeah, he stole voodoo because he’s evil, just like Chucky did’ or some shit. Nobody who actually practices voodoo cares about this stuff anyway.

Ultimately the way I view media is that if you don’t think it’s important enough to mention in the general story arc, I don’t care. I shouldn’t have to go to Twitter to find out the race of a blatantly white character. I don’t care if the creators themselves say it, I’m not interested in retcons for diversity purposes. It’s the same as when J. K. Rowling decided Dumbeldor was gay, no he’s not, because if he was you’d have brought it up in the story at some point.

But ultimately this is my main criticism of Viv’s writing, she can’t make up her mind about the characters that she’s created and just wings it as she goes, and it shows. Why is Carmilla Carmine so upset about killing an Angel when she’s a weapons dealer? Why did Charlie and Alastor make a deal when it’s never mentioned again? Why is nonconsensual sexual contact depicted as terrifying when it happens to Angel Dust, but then immediately played off for laughs when it happens to Sir Pentious at the nightclub?

It’s really a shame, because personally I like Viv’s designs, and the story has potential, but it’s impossible to make a well thought out plot when you’re constantly capitulating to woke retards and can’t even keep your own story consistent.

I am shocked that people are shocked the showrunner who can't make a compelling differentiation between heaven and hell is struggling with trying to make a differentiation between what constitutes a Louisiana Nigger and Louisiana Creole.
Fair enough. It just never fails to shock me how woefully uneducated the younger generation is. If as a Libyan, I say ‘huh?’ when the majority of the fandom says Creole = black, then we a problem. I swear these people have never opened a book.

Does her dad watch her shows?
If he or the rest of the family does it might be part of why she doesn't drag in Jesus or God directly. It's likely they're Catholic and would be okay with a gay comedy about Hell but if you started making fun of Jesus they'd get pissed.

Creoles were sort of the original amerimutts, with a mix of European, African, and Native American being pretty common. They really range from looking mostly black to looking mostly white with most somewhere in between. So Alastor being a Creole who passed as white is entirely plausible.

Hasn't the pilot been out for 5 years at this point? You'd think if the character was actually intended to be creole it would have been mentioned sometime before he was accused of racism the solution to which was being half creole.

Also, someone who has watched the show answer me this because I'm still confused, how can the demons be any race other than hebrew?

I thought demons and sinners were a seperate thing. I've seen people refer to alastor as a demon, how can a demon be from the 1800s?

Is alastor a ""half crole"" sinner that died and went to hell or an actual demon with demonic powers that followed lucifer during the fall?

I mean a lot of the demons in the show are just sinners (Charlie, Lucifer, and Rosie if leaks are true are native to Hell). Alastor gained powers because he kept making deals in Hell and killed overlords (other sinners who gained power from making deals with souls).

Are there any other actual angels from the fall in hell other than lucifer?

I know that the mexican girl is a recently fallen angel, which made me wonder how the fuck that's even possible because again, all angels should predate earth.

No other angels, there are hellborn that are the other "Seven Deadly Sins" but no one knows where they came from.

The other fallen angel was because other angels basically ripped off her wings and halo for not wanting to kill a child sinner

Are angels like demons in that they are ascended mortals?

Because I don't understand how she can be mexican otherwise.

So Alastor being a Creole who passed as white is entirely plausible.
Sure, but the main issue is that he’s suddenly ‘creole’ after accusations of racism, despite his entire persona being decidedly not Creole, which isn’t a race regardless. Case in point, while I lived in the US my family was close friends with a Creole family through my wife’s church. They were from Slidell originally, and they looked…dark-ish. Their son got into genealogy and took a DNA test, to their surprise they were 100% European, mostly French and some Spanish.
