Chocodiles (the chocolate-covered Twinkies). It's so unfair. I actually wrote to Hostess about it last year, which is something I never, ever, ever do. Sigh.

Back in the mid oughts Friendship sour cream made a "sour cream with fresh salsa" mix thing. It tasted incredible and I cannot replicate the flavor.

When I was broke to the point of stomach pain, I'd buy a bunch of chocodiles because they were 39 cents on clearance. Should have made healthier choices, but fuck that, I had chocodiles.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've bought one the entirety of Hostess 2. I have not enjoyed the twinkies from hostess 2, but the orange cupcakes still taste right.

sometimes i get a hankering for macca's 'pasta zoo' happy meal - I think it was like dubious-animal-shaped cheese stuffed ravioli with a tomato dipping sauce and it came with tongs. It also had this horrible drink that came with it - a cup of milk with a 'sipahh' straw, a straw that has flavouring inside the straw so it's flavoured as you drink. the flavour in the straw is absolutely disgusting. why sell pasta with a side of milk? but i miss it. also the pasta came in this nightmare-fuelled box

i also miss KFC popcorn chicken melts - a shitty quesadilla type food, specifically the popcorn chicken one that was just bbq sauce, popcorn chicken and cheese. Yeah easy to make but sometimes i wish i could just buy a couple when i pass by a kfc.

Zaxby's used to have milkshakes, with 3 flavors: Birthday Cake Batter, Chocolate Cookie, and Banana Pudding. They were caloric beasts, but I've never had a shake from a fast food chain taste so close to actual banana pudding and cake batter. Plus they came in a reusable cup rather than the styrafoam ones.

Somewhat food related, but I also missed when Candystand, Nabiscoworld, and Postopia were still operating. Sure it was thinly veiled marketing to children via flash games, but they were great timekillers, and me and my bro would constantly play the mini golf games.

I remember eating some weird spiderman themed cookies that had a blue and red frosting as a kid, but I can't find a trace of them anywherre. They had god tier flavor, I think it was tutti frutti and blueberry? They must have been a promotion for that Amazing Spiderman movie.

These where so incredibly good, and big as all hell especially to a child's hand, the only downside is that they are a disease to cook for obvious reasons, but they where so worth it.

Sobes, all the flavors, been looking for this shit since covid. They still have the site up and won't confirm or deny if it's dead for good. Cranberry flavor was the best shit ever. I've gone as far as to ask stores I shopped at that previously carried it, they just stopped delivering without telling them shit.
