Somehow I'm not surprised to hear that what Timmy's has become is such a proponent of slave labor.

I sort of am. Wasn't long ago I was a lad cramming dutchies into my chubby little face and inhaling the most intense 2nd hand smoke and carcinogen counts outside of an Asbestos mine. Didn't think I was supporting slavery or the planned destruction of Canada at the time.

The pajeets go into interviews and practically beg for a job.

It's not exclusive to arabs. Indians, chinese, etc all do the selective racial hiring shit, too. I'd daresay it's the normal thing, and that's a big problem when all these wealthy foreigners sweep in to buy up failing Canadian stores. It means the locals don't get jobs while the foreigners start chain importing.

$50k you won't really see anymore, but Canada has been known for being a mid-cost employment area and easier environment to get tax breaks.

It depends where in the US, though. Outside of 1) Bay Area and 2) NYC / LA, dollar-for-dollar wages are pretty similar for software work. The cheap Canadian dollar tilts that quite a bit, for now.

It is odd though Vancouver and Toronto are insanely expensive to live in but don't really have high paying jobs to back that up. Certainly more than say Saskatoon or Moncton but not enough to justify living there.

In my experience? It'll get brought up as a negative in private, but barring outliers like a Based Boomer I worked with for a while people generally won't make an issue of it in public.

Yeah, got a cuz and his wife who are doctors who've fucked off from Toronto. Nobody makes enough to live there. Meanwhile, his wife is from the US so she has citizenship, so they can move there easily, and it pays way more. Sure you have to pay for healthcare, but a lot of employers have packages for that.

Canada is one of the only 1st world countries where we spent a decade making it more attractive to LEAVE then to stay here.

You’ll still make more working. The only times benefits get clawed back is Old Age Security. Which is why you get wealthy boomers who only take so much out of their RRSPs/RIF accounts so their OAS doesn’t get clawed back.

You make more working, but not for quite a while unless you get a job at your cousin's casino. And trying to find work runs the risk of losing income support benefits only for the job to not pan out.

I will say this about the purveyors of frozen donut goyslop that had the foresight to do stuff like switch to toilet water coffee; they certainly knew their market. Imagine running a Coffee Time or Country Style franchise, making real donuts day in, day out just to throw them in the trash every night because some chain invented by a drug addled NHL alcoholic chain smoker opened a donut shop in Hamilton one time and Canadians believe it's their patriotic duty to consoom there at all costs. You know the glazed cricket WEF bug donuts decorated in the flag are coming next and people will be pining for the days of bug-free freezer donuts as they cram them into their bug holes.
