"I was supposed to be a regular on the show!"
One of my all-time favorite "Phil rewrites history and gaslights his audience" bits was this one. He was so happy with the SideScrollers interview that he was immediately bugging Craig about when he would be on again. Phil was completely oblivious to the way it had actually gone. They were so clearly put off by his constant lies and he has his head so far up his own ass that it took someone else telling him (iirc he said it was Kat) it went badly for him to figure it out. Then suddenly the narrative became the one where they were bad actors who pulled the rug out from under him.

It's not going to happen because it would take a Level 10 Tractor, but can you imagine how utterly mindbroken would Phil be if Jay flips the table and starts to call out Phil on his behaviour on-stream? The begging, the insulting people making suggestions, telling a guy struggling with mental issues to shut up, starting drama, insulting players while playing Tekken/SF6. We saw what Sidescrollers did to him.

I see the positive side here: if Jay does a Quarterpounder, then Phil will be more open to other stuff like interviews and documentaries. But if Jay makes him look like an asshole and calls him out, he will become even more paranoid and will never do something with anyone ever again. For this year.

I'm very much in the camp of "it's not going to happen" myself, but I'm not outright dismissing it like I did with Sidescrollers because I ultimately ended up being wrong about that. It's also partially based on the hope that Jay might be thinking a similar thing, where he saw the Sidescrollers interview was such a hit because it ended up being surprisingly more aggressive than anyone was expecting, so he could be trying to emulate that and just luring Phil in with "just hanging out, being chill and positive" so he'll actually show up with his guard down.

It's hard to say because I really don't know in what world someone would want to actually have a "chill and positive" conversation with Phil of all people. As much as Phil likes to insist otherwise, he's pretty much the furthest you can get from chill. Phil basically has two settings, extremely boring, or ranting and raving. His boring side isn't chill it's just...dull. Chill is like, two people getting drinks and shooting the shit, cracking jokes and talking about things they enjoy. Phil has nothing to discuss because he's a hermit who only likes a small handful of things, and he can't actually discuss the gacha stuff because he's too deep in his lies to open up about that. It basically leaves you with discussing food. And even that's limited because Phil isn't like, a chef or a foodie or anything, so it basically boils down to his favorite fast food orders and how robust they are. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, even with food Phil usually finds ways to be negative, saying something isn't authentic or complaining that chicken on a bone takes too much effort to eat and other nonsense.

It's kinda funny that, despite playing video games for however many hours each week, I really don't know if Phil can carry even like, a 30 minute long conversation about games. He either sleeps or talks through the story part of games, and when he tries to explain the plot or give takes, he's usually confused or completely wrong about whatever is going on. He doesn't care about builds or mechanics or anything, and even when it comes to something he claims to be an expert in, fighting games, he's so out of date that there's not much to have a conversation about.

I haven't really looked around much but not sure if people overlooked ol' Phil dropping faggot bombs here and there.

Peculiar use of words here of "...I got away...." but ended that sentence. (00:12) "...I think it would have been offensive then, too.... but I got away (with it)...ya know."
Also another part where he has to seduce Paco as the girl and kept mentioning her titties and all that. She stripped to her underwear to dance for the NPC and he just couldn't look at the screen during this.

Im tired so I'm most likely overthinking it, probably not. Just kinda funny to me with his LARP of being some changed man and not the fact he's just neutering himself and just not saying anything at all, but you know he's thinkin' it.
I wonder if Kat would prefer past Phil over present Phil. At least past phil had a shed of masculinity.

Overall I could see these throwbacks being really fun to watch if people suggest these types of playthroughs where he's just droppin shit left and right, and Phil has to atone for it all live about the typical mature adult bullshit. Let's hope for Dead Space 2(demo?) so we can see the part that got him removed from Blip.

You know full well that if we get the "Hello Jew!" throw back he will go ad nauseaum how his trolls took this clip out of context, contacted the Higher ups of Blip and got him thrown out but Blip really loved his content and NEVER EVER said otherwise. And it was totally unfair and he was blindsided just how he was the hardest working man at the helicopter company and then was laid off out of the blue. And he will memory hole the letter he got from Blip where they wrote that his content was already close to the line of being not what Blip wants (your commentary is just meandering and random" (an actual quote from the letter he read out). If "Hello Jew" had not happened the telephone call with his manager would have adressed his inadequacies and he would either have said "fuck this" or just nodded like a bobblehead and then get thrown out later because he would not have understood what they wanted

The thing with Rich's butt buddy isn't happening, but it would be hilarious if it happened just because DSP wants to piss Rich off by having a date with his ex beau
He could be out of the loop on how DSP operates. Get friendly with DSP, become his editor and get a cut of his money. That's where he's wrong, expecting DSP to compensate anyone for work that they do for him.

It's not going to happen because Jay already said he was being sarcastic about the DSP thing and it was essentially to bait RTU into responding.

Let's say it is a real offer. And he were to accept.

He'd be talking to and platforming a guy (for free) who was paid to take Phil's clips *without context* so that rich could react disengiously and slander his name(making $ all the while). And no point would he stip and think, who was getting them clips for rich? If he's paying this dude to *edit* it was probably him. Not that Dave would connect those dots.

It's just be another example of how Dave is a spinless egotistical loser. He spent all that time talking shit and crying about rtu and the shit he does on his stream be unfair to his name and his image and buisness blah blah blah. Just to do what. Turn around and platform the dude was probably facilitating alot of those clips and moments?

He sure be showing me.
