Except Community Notes stops that shit in its tracks before its allowed to spread by providing immediate context. I love seeing the seething it generates when journos and other scum get fact-checked before their very eyes.

This addressed a symptom of the conflict of interest not the actual cause. Willis and/or Wade -will- continue to try to enrich themselves off the case, meaning with the next instance of them doing so Trump's lawyers will haul it before the judge meaning that the judge will -again- have to bring people up to testify on the nature of the enrichment and make a ruling.... it will just be the exact same thing, again. Same people, same shit, entirely predictable.

Yeah, I've been vaguely following this shitshow and I would have preferred the judge doing nothing than this. It doesn't solve the actual issue and only accomplishes the can getting kicked down the road. The resignation letter being so sanctimonious makes it worse.

i can't remember what video this was, but i remember watching a plumber on YouTube a while ago complaining about the 2011 Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act (mentioned here (A)) that reduced the amount of lead that brass plumbing components can contain from 8% to 0.25%. i remember him saying that reducing the amount of lead to that much was overkill and new parts using that standard are garbage and fail constantly

i have no special knowledge about how asbestos is being used in brake pads but i can only assume this is something similar where it will provide basically no health benefit but, in some way, will cause quality of life to dip just a bit lower for the average citizen
