Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

This is a few days old now but I am unsure if it was posted here or not.

Sweet Baby Inc. CEO Kim Belair Admits She Wanted To Take Over The Video Game Industry

In another resurfaced clip following Sweet Baby Inc.’s attempted cancelation of Brazilian gamer KabrutusRambo, the company’s CEO Kim Belair admits she wants to take over the video game industry.

In a brief interview with InclusionFX that was posted to YouTube back in 2021 and brought to attention by X user JohnnyMassacre, Belair documents how she created Sweet Baby Inc. and what the purpose of the company was.

She said, “In 2018, one of my best friends and I, we teamed up and we founded a company. The original desire was just to write together. We wanted to write with the two of us and a friend of ours and we wanted to write games. But we realized that as a unit we realized we were capable of doing for others what had not been done to us, which was to support us, empower us, to lift us up, to value our talent, and to help build our skills.”

She continued, “And so, today, what we do is writing, narrative design, story building, story breaking as our first and foremost. But on a secondary level we work very hard to get marginalized talent into the industry, to protect them the way that we would want to have been protected, to lift them up, and to get them into an industry where they’re too often shut out.”

Belair then admitted, “And basically, I think, to take over in the hopes that some really dope people will be able to lead into a kind of a new era for an industry that’s been kind of been, you know, the same way too long.”

Later in the interview, she was asked how she protects her mental health and admitted she would rather create subpar games than attempt to achieve greatness.

She said, ” I think to protect myself and for my own mental health, I have made sure that I work with people I really, really care about and really, really respect and really, really enjoy working with. I often talk about the fact that like video games are such huge projects and they feel like they’re these huge works of creative brilliance and they take so many brains, but for me I would much rather work on something that is an okay project with great people who I care about, who lift each other up, who provide like a sense of balance than something that is maybe technically very proficient, but it was hell to make, and the people aren’t empathetic.”

In 2019, during a presentation at the Game Developers Conference, Belair revealed who she believed was standing in her way.

She said, “I don’t think it’s pie in the sky thinking to go like, ‘Hey, maybe we can invite white dudes to play as other people and experience different things through someone else’s eyes.’ And if they don’t like it, we have to start thinking, ‘We’re not losing. They’re losing, and we’re losing because we’re going to let them stand in the way of our progress and our innovation.’”

In that same presentation, she also revealed the tactic she employs in order to take over the industry, “If you’re creative working in AAA, which I did for many years, put this stuff up to your higher-ups. And if they don’t see the value and what you’re asking for when you ask for consultants, when you ask for research, go have a coffee with your marketing team and just terrify them with the possibility of what’s going to happen if they don’t give you what you want.”

“Because they have to consider– I say that out loud as a joke, but it’s actually very, very true because if you start to consider the people who are player and audience facing and you have to deal with mitigating harm and with keeping the sentiment around their game and their project positive, there’s like a genuine value that you could impress upon them both ethically and financially. You could say this is important,” she said.

Belair elaborated, “It’s also a valid discussion to have because if you’re working with a thin narrative budget and you work in AAA, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised or dismayed by the amount of money that marketing can give you.”

She also made it abundantly clear how she was trying to take over the industry.

Belair explained, “None of what we’re doing is about ticking boxes or about a veneer of wokeness. We actually have to care about making this stuff.”

What do you make of Belair’s admission that she wants to take over the video game industry?

That of the Gordon Goodbrother, the doe eyed completely harmless soft vaugely male creature.
This is why they love black troons so much, because there's nothing they love so much as emasculating black males and their scary sexuality. That's why Hollywood celebrities adopt black male children and troon them out and literally castrate them like slaves or pets.
* Even though ESG subsidizes the ideology, bad sales raises the price Larry Fink et al must pay to do so, which is why this still matters.
People underestimate the long-term impact of this. Make them fight and expend resources even where you can't "win." Make them fight for what they thought they outright owned. This kind of thing is a war of attrition. You may not be able to wipe them out of existence but the moment you have them doubting whether this is even worth continuing to do, you've won to some extent.
The big question is, "How long will Larry Fink fund propaganda that is so off-putting that people will go out of their way to avoid it?"
When shit like troonery is increasingly unpopular, continuing to push it hard doesn't cause people to say "oh yeah I love that guy stroking his dick in front of my daughter in the girls' room now" they say "fuck this shit I'm not buying it." You don't need as astroturfed boycott led by autists, so much as people increasingly viewing these products as the Bud Light of videogames and treating them accordingly.
I'm pretty sure in the years and decades down the line that sort of fear-tactic won't be looked up as positive as people like movieblob think it will.
As Steiner said "But you gotta look at the person making the threats."

You saw inklings of really unhinged politics eeking their way into the zeitgeist with things like Michael Moore winning an Oscar and using the stage to blast George Bush in 2002 but for the most part, most people kept to themselves.
Unhinged, maybe, but he was also in the process of making a movie blasting Dubya so it was reasonable enough to do even just for advertising purposes.
I'm generally right-leaning but I also distrust any rhetoric that is deliberately geared to get me to hate my neighbors, no matter what party they support.
I remember when goobergrape took a survey of supporters and contrary to the Wikipedo/journo bullshit about it being some extreme far right misogynist movement, the political views of supporters were more or less that of the general population. Meanwhile the antis were all the zombie style of leftist who uniformly shared exactly the same dittohead opinions.
It went something like, "You have to run a certain amount of anti-drug public service announcements as commercials, but if you make the TV show episode about the anti-drug stuff, you can use the commercial slots for profit making commercials."
The one you cite was particularly bad not because it was anti-drug. I think in general persuading people not to do drugs is a reasonable position to take, and the occasional Very Special Episode is not going to utterly ruin a series, especially if it's done actually well.

The reason that one sucked was, you know, just that it was Wesley.

The logical course of action would be to support indie games and support right-wing or centrist developers whenever they appear. That probably wouldn't be as upfront in its profitability though.

Uh. No. I'm Center Right and for all intents and purposes consider myself a Republican politically speaking, and even *I* don't want their propaganda in entertainment. Just because we're hating on the Left wing establishment media right now doesn't mean the Right is going to be any better, my guy. You and I both know that if they had the opportunity, they'd be injecting their own neurosis into entertainment that's meant to be consumed by the general public.

As far back as I can remember, the Right have always been fairly dismissive of entertainment and just culture shit in general. The only reason why it's such a big deal and they're noticing it just now is because it's an election season, and they're trying to get as many people on their side as possible by using entertainment as a springboard for the intended effect. Don't think for one second that if the positions were reversed those of us that have largely grown ill of the two party (oops, I mean UNIPARTY) system would be doing the exact same shit to the Right (as we're doing to the Left currently), and for the exact same reasons.

Remember kids, there is no "Right" vs. "Left" anymore. There's only the "Haves" and the "Have Nots". There's far more of us than there are of them, and that scares the SHIT out of them, which is why you see all the lashing out at the moment.

In case it wasn’t already obvious /v/ has been compromised, someone posted a thread about how you weren’t able to post about Sweet Baby Inc. I replied and they edited my post. I’ve seen mods do this on /vt/ and have a post in that thread about it.

Here is what I posted:

“Troons and groomers flock together.”

This is what they changed it to:

Then I was banned for posting dox and told I could appeal it a day from now, instead I just reset my router with a new MAC.

Didn't this exact thing happen a decade ago for the same reasons?

See but even this proves how much better writing was in the 90's. It wasn't lowest common denominator 85IQ slop, there is actual nuance in TNG, even in what amounts to an imbedded PSA. It wasn't "Drugs are baaad mmm'kay. Only losers do drugs Kenny!" It was "Drugs are fucking great, they make you feel great, every culture has drugs kid... but everything in life has a price and it's a high one." They are getting right into the heart of the matter and cutting out the black and white propaganda bullshit even in a PSA! They knew and cared for the audience, the kids that can actually sit through TNG know 'Drugs are bad 'mmmkay" so they gave them more, they made the argument from the other side and gave them the kernel of truth that was missing from the whole puzzle.
Oh, yes, I agree things have gotten worse.

So far, archive.today seems fairly reliable, but I'll make a PDF too, just to make sure the information is preserved. (I'll attach it here)

The big question is, "How long will Larry Fink fund propaganda that is so off-putting that people will go out of their way to avoid it?" It's not entirely about immediate profits, it's more big picture than that. Investing money now to rewrite society seems like a good idea to these people, even if it loses a little money at first. However, propaganda only works if people see it. If you make a game that tanks and no one plays it, your propaganda also doesn't reach the people it's supposed to. At that point, maybe Larry thinks he should pivot to some other investment, and that particular pool of low interest ESG based loans will dry up.
Propaganda doesn't necessarily have to enter eyeballs in order to work. Simply having it in the atmosphere can yield results. Yes, all of the "woke" games bomb and no-one is really playing them, but their mere existence could be used to push a narrative. Like trash propaganda papers that only exist for others to cite as "proof," some might point to idpol-infused AAA titles as evidence that core gamers approve of such content.

I'm not a time traveler so I have no clue how all this will pan out. Just keep in mind that these people have been in the propaganda game for a very, very long time, and while they're not invincible, they're crafty and have resources we likely can't fathom.
