yes, it's called ESG. Fortunately, due to the economy being in the shitter, it seems there's less of that money to go around (see - the massive amounts of layoffs last year/this year).

I mean, fair enough. I already assumed ESG was part of how they obtained most of their actual money from investing firms. I just thought there might be other policies aside from that, the diversity hire incentives and kickbacks for that, and the tax breaks for setting up dev studios in really cheap areas/countries. As an aside, I thought it would be fun to try chatgpt about the layoffs so far. Last figure I remember being mentioned this year was 7,100. It refused many of the phrasings I tried and kept referring me to GDC and IGDA. Which is probably the fastest I've seen it hamstringed.

All I remember would be The Getaway, which was made by now defunct first party British gaming company named Team Soho. Known for average receptions and halted for extra couple of years due difficulty on mapping almost entirely area of London itself.

The UK has a bunch of first party studios for EA, Sony, Microsoft, etc. There's also the studio which makes the Total War games, Braben's studio (Frontier) which makes F1 Manager, Elite Dangerous, etc., Sports Interactive which does Football Manager, and a few others.

Yes, you make a good point. I mean the stated goal of taking over gaming means, "You will buy this slop because you will have no alternative." We'll just have to see if they have enough money to do that. I identify Steam and the 3 major consoles as possible points of failure, along with any Steam alternatives which are not as important now but might rise if Steam itself is completely compromised.

It's fine to be completely unprofitable if you have rich donors or a government willing to bankroll your entire operation. As you say though, some third party has to think it's worth it in order to advance their goals.

It represents "Belonging", so the full acronym would be Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB). Apparently it goes further then just DEI because it also attempts to make someone's voice heard and valued.

Out of all the ace combat games, you chose the shittiest.
That game wasn't bad but they yapped too much and like in ace combat 7, a good played would be punished with infinite waiting time because the next set of targets wouldn't appear until they finished that on going game of UNO.
Ace Combat 3 is still the best one.

Also, go take a look at Armoured Core. A game where you start with zero and build a robot to blow shit up.

However, all the loot and experience you obtain through melanin and not merit is tainted and makes youe character lazier, power-hungry and maniacal at the cost of natural skill reduction.

Good ending is you resist all the melanin and achieve greatness through hard work and determination.

Bad ending, your character reaches a point where it's not enough and so they become a troon'd out sexpest.

Haha, I like this idea. It's similar to how games like Divinity: Original Sin handle 'game modifiers,' but will disable achievements.
