I'd say given what I've seen there's definitely a lot of overlap. The whole aesthetic surrounding furries, such as making them more cutesy and anime-like, is definitely a trend that started in late 2019 and into the following decade. You look at the boykisser image, and it does share a similar artstyle with Changed.

usually when you see degeneracy proliferated amongst young people a adult doesn't always have to be involved in that particular server. Most likely the faggotry you encountered comes from a different server and it seeped into the server.

I used a plugin to see hidden channels and the only channel is the admin one. Usually sus servers have retarded hidden channels like "staff furry rp" (not a made up example)

I am testing if discord will actually do anything about this. Discord made such a moral spiel on their TOS and "working with law enforcement" claims against grooming so I do wonder what they will do with a textbook example. Guess we'll wait and see.

The term "femboy" was initially solely used to describe androgynous anime males, then coomers decided they could make it "real" by trooning out without the pronouns and will swear up and down about how it's "always been a real thing". It's essentially devolved into the coomer version Of Chris' "tomgirl" shit he came up with.

Like you look at anime "femboys" and compare them with the people that call themselves that unironically as a "culture" now and it's like night and day.
