That community is is one of the most interesting ones I've come across. They've autistically familiarized themselves with every episode of a children's short show and even keep up on all the tie-in merch such as clothing, so they're a great resource and they make some genuinely cool animations and such. However, since there's also a lot of teenagers in that community, there's a tendency for tiresome drama as well. I've also seen people ship trains together and even headcanon trains as trans, as if that's even possible.

The Thomas community somehow combines two elements that lead to the perfect autistic storm. First you have trains which autistic people already gravitate toward and then you have characters who have the potential to be OC templates similar to Sonic. To create a Thomas OC all you have to do is pick any train from history and slap a face on to it. It really lends itself well to allowing the person to attach whatever identity and personality they want to it.

I've seen people theorize why James is LGBTQ because apparently since in the series he lends himself to untraditional thought at times that makes him more likely to be tolerant of it. Which is a stretch to say the least, but then again they do it in real life when they suspect someone for being trans because they picked up a doll once as a child.

For a while in the late 2000's - 2010's we were starting to get animated shows with deeper themes that weren't super niche, Adventure Time, Regular show, Avatar, Samurai Jack. Today though Troons and faggots has co-op'd basically everything artistic where now the most popular animated shows are either trash family guy rip off's or shit like Hazbin hotel where the entire premise is that apparently all the characters are pansexual degenerates.

Artists have always been way more on the liberal side, but for whatever reason it didn't seem to matter as good shit seemed to continue coming out. Today though I can't help but see clips from new animated shows and just think to myself "It's almost guaranteed the person animating this is a sexual degenerate who would fetishizes children watching their smut".

Oh don't worry, Avatar will likely be ruined in the near future. The original voice cast for the show has been banned from voicing their own characters, with the exception of Zuko's VA. In the extended universe material (the tabletop game), it is full of they/thems and they retconned spiritbending to be created by a trans-identified male. It's kinda ironic because whoever created him made him absolutely love how women were oppressed in the Northern Water Tribe and could only learn healing. It hecking validated him to heal.
