I can't be one anyway. At one point I was actually eligible for citizenship, but I couldn't do it because I would have to give up my American citizenship. When push comes to shove, I know who I am first.

Yeah, same thing here in the US with Social Security. Who knows if that will actually be viable 20 or 30 years from now. Just not enough children being born to support it.

What the fuck? We got this "Doppelte Staatsbürgerschaft" thing, i know turks and arabs who hold citizenship and passports for both Germany and their inferior countries, how does this not apply to amerimutts?

Ah alright, this only applies for countries who either flat-out say no, you can't renounce your citizenship under any circumstances, like Turkey or countries where it's very difficult to do so, like Iran for example. Everyone else has to renounce their original citizenship. I am surprised to learn we still have some standards left in this country.

It is pretty complicated. I tried to get my ex to apply for the Beibehaltungsgenemigung back when he was first eligible for US citizenship, but he refused. Now he is sort of like I see your point in why I should have done that, but 10 years on, it is way too late. He can't prove real ties to Germany anymore and it won't be approved. My daughter has, according to both US and German law, a birth right to both citizenships, so she has them. I as a person that wants to naturalize have no right to keep my current citizenship whatsoever. In fact, I'd have to go to the US embassy, formally renounce my citizenship, get that in writing and then could I really apply for German. LOL, no.

Yeah that was one of the things that made me sour on Lidl Drip. I am fine with her hating my guts and calling me a "Pick-Me" to that harpies nest that is The Man-Hate and Pick-Me threads but her defending Stan, who both eats ass and engages in life ruination, as well as attack Otterly, one of the nicest female posters on this forum, that is when I decide to stop being nice and now make fun of her every chance I get. Like her defending someone who eats ass and pretends to be a Jew.
