Curiosity got the best of me so I played through this. Yes I do have an incest fetish.
1) Art style has that early 2010 indie game vibe where everything is so stylized and blurry half the time I couldn't figure out what the fuck am I looking at, which is a problem in places where you have to hunt for keys. Portraits are well done, I like the style even if it's yet another goddamn pseudoanime aesthetic. There's no gameplay here, it's basically a visual novel and doing the game in such style would cover up how shoddy graphics are.
2) Plot is fanfiction-tier, that is to say retarded. I guess author either tried to parody COVID lockdowns or didn't care and wanted to focus on protagonists's conversations, which are excellent. I can believe a sibling dynamic as this could happen IRL. Other dialogue, like from the parents, is good but borders on something out of porn at times ("Son aren't you supposed to be masturbating!?").
3) The "incest" is so fucking lame I regretted torturing myself for 3 hours only to witness a fucking 10 second long cutscene of what happened in a dream. Yes, there's nothing explicitly shown, so I guess the joke's on me. What you get is foreshadowing, assuming you stretch subtext like the Goatsie man and search for innuendos in every corner. At least it's done with good taste.
4) I said "torturing myself" because your alter egos are so fucking unlikeable I'd have called quits a hour in. It reminded me of Maria Holic, a good anime (hi Null!) I couldn't bear to finish due to how cruel it was. Andrew is a harem anime protagonist, which is to say an idiot NPC who could solve all his problems from day 1 by learning how to say "no" to women. For some reason he sticks to Ashley, the low IQ psycho who shows him absolutely zero love, respect or consideration and has ruined his life multiple times, and you learn the reason is he wants to fuck her but is too spineless to admit it to himself. Anyone who simps for that crazy femcel bitch is the equivalent of a chick who knows that the Hells Angels dude will kidnap her in the morning, turn her into a crackwhore and bury her out in the desert, and sleeps with him anyway. I look at her and think about disemboweling her, not sex. There is NO LOVE OR AFFECTION in this relationship, if you enjoy it the stay the fuck away from me because I didn't.
Conclusion: like a modernized remake of The Fall of House of Usher, another thing people remember for incest despite there being almost none in it.

Well, glad you joined in. Just so you know, there's an ending for part 2 specificallyfor if you hate the characters. In fact, that's the ending which is getting a new episode first, so if you want to you can get that ending instead.
Either pick dont trust him as Ashley or go with accepting ghe olive branch as Andrew. The route splits based on those decisions.

Reflecting again, I must conclude it is indeed a wet fantasy written by women, for women. The subtlety of the writing threw me off at first. Funny how someone made 2 million off a smutfic straight from fanfiction.net.

It's interesting. Neither fujoshit nor incest coombait are novel, they both have their audiences but those audiences are not what made this game a financial success. This went mainstream, by fujoshit yandere femdom incest coombait standards. Some of it is virality and shock value for sure, but the fact that people outside those audiences are openly defending it means that either 1) the jewish Aylo/MindGeek psyop to normalize incest is working, or 2) it's just another case of normie women and bugmen being into depraved shit but wanting it trojan horsed on them so they can have plausible deniability. Hopefully the latter.

It's just Gothic horror in a modern setting. The incest is some zesty spice and the mannerisms and art style are definitely Tumblr inspired but the heart of it is seeing attractive people committing depraved acts while they're hounded by corrupt authorities in a world of horrors.
I think what makes this specifically so appealing is how it sharply contrasts a lot of what you see these days. The main characters are conventionally attractive, the story itself never moralizes or preaches any kind of message to the viewer and it all remains somewhat relatable for that uncanny feeling. The world itself is like a hostile fun house mirror where the trusted authorities are somehow even more depraved than you'd expect, the main couple themselves are unambiguous white trash and the average person seems to be off kilter and disturbed. Through all of this, the protagonists are technically scrappy underdogs with the world against them but theyre so fucked in the head that you come to understand that you shouldn't necessarily root for them which the novel itself acknowledges by giving you the two routes. If you like them and want them to succeed then you can help them grow together and if you dont then you can let them sabotage it themselves. Its fun to see where this goes and the world itself has enough personality to support it.
