Asking me to create hard rules and then litigate them through bans is contrary to the purpose of the site. I'd much rather see people recognize that endless arguing is fucking gay and counterproductive, trying to burn the pews of our own cathedral instead of watching off-site drama.

In old times, this would be easier understood, but new users don't get it. The New Internet is all about enforcing hard rules and not about people self-regulating and functioning correctly.

Personally I feel like I'm walking on eggshells when interacting with almost every subcommunity here. There is a culture of paranoia here because everyone is afraid of being doxed. It makes the site culture toxic in that way. It is probably one of the real bad things about this site because there are so many cool users here I'd have a beer with if only this site wasn't the way it is.

I can only speak for myself and I am not. Mostly becuase you really need to piss someone off to be doxxed here on the first place.
