Cartoon Industry thread - Showcasing the Spergery of the Animation Industry

Why the fuck would you base a cartoon on Roller Derby. No one beyond like 5 people in Seattle cares about that. I don’t think it’d even women because women’s go to is Tennis or Track and Field or MMA.

Roller Derby isn’t even a fun contact sport. It’s way too fucking niche to get in to after rules are anti-fun.

She watched Air Gear and thought to herself "This needs more queer magical girl BIPOCs."

Though it's more likely she watched SK∞ and the gay bois™ weren't doing it for her.

Exactly, everyone knows that the only derby worth caring about is Demolition Derby. Now, THAT is a sport everyone loves.
Seriously, 17 million people just watching cars crash with each other, & men & women both participate in it without any problems.

But you'd never see that turned into a cartoon (not since Pixar Cars at least).

The issue is that Roller Derby lacks the rules or pure physicality where you’d care. Women’s Basketball does unironically have a better rule set to the modern NBA, but their male counterparts are heads and shoulders better athletes to watch. Stock car racing, the lower leagues, is interesting because you usually have amateur mechanics and drivers as a team. There is an engineering aspect and an individual aspect of drivers needing the reaction time to turn, how to block, and use their place in their favor.

Roller Derby is just an astroturfed extreme sports that gives dykes an excuse to say it’s not domestic violence. The physicality is lacking and the barrier of entry is obtuse.

Again with the racism from you. The poster you're replying to pointed out that Stonetoss is practically Mexican and you say that explains everything. What do you have against Mexicans?
just ignore him, I think he´s a troll or he´s a literal retard with a severe hate boner for stonetoss, like...yeah, we get it, you hate stonetoss, how fucking original, go to whine and cry to twitter for hours like a normal stonetoss hater

Why does the Ark the animated series shadow premiere on Paramount plus feel like nickelodeon damage control?

I believe the associated lie is that it shows black boys like violent cartoons.
Fairly blatantly not the point of it but when has truth ever been a barrier?
Boys like violent cartoons.
You have to be some double plus loser with a stick up your ass with a stick up the ass of THAT stick to not like violent cartoons as a boy.

You guys remember this crap? We should have seen it coming from Kyle when Nami’s breasts jiggle
Kyle Carrozza is going to be "exposed" in one of those predator catcher videos and anyone who disagrees hasn't seen a picture of him. "Exposed" is in quotes because come on. Look at him.

And given that 'Quiet on Set' exposes creeps like Dan and his gang of child goons, how long will it be before there is a documentary on animated creeps?

I can't believe my 12-yo self from 2006 actually watched this and didn't realize until 2022 two years ago that it was Kyle himself. ...fuck (:_(
