Right, a five year old could've watched the Rittenhouse video and told you that he didn't shoot any black people, and that he specifically shot people who were reaching for his gun. Why he and his fans delude themselves into thinking he's somehow not in the same playpen with the likes of Vaush and Hasan is beyond me.

A large part of the debate was a back and forth on why human rights abuses are or aren't inherent to Zionist aspirations, bearing in mind that Zionism is a specific ideology (or an umbrella of ideologies if you like) with literature, key figures and so on. When Destiny tried to argue that the Arabs, not Zionists, were violent, he didn't name any of the myriad ideologies that sprang up on the Arab side during the period being discussed, he just vaguely implied that Arabs were a unified, militaristic, antisemitic horde and treated that as sufficient evidence for his assumptions. He expected his opponents to prove beyond a doubt that Zionism necessarily implies expulsion and that Zionist military commanders explicitly approve of the murder of civilians, but the standard is waived for Hamas who are simply part of an evil ethnic group, so their evil intentions can be safely assumed.

I think even he was aware of how lazy and backhanded this style of argumentation is given how much time he's spent since the debate trying to justify his own arguments with supporting evidence (something he should've done during the debate itself.) In a way defending Israel might be his bread and butter, since any time he starts losing a debate he can just pull this "heads I win, tails you lose" tactic by leaning into racist prejudices the way he did in this debate, without losing credibility amongst his fans.

Other than ad revenue to pay for his benzo habit? I think Destiny is worse (and certainly more annoying) but they both play to that audience of fatherless young men with no direction in life, and their politics are different enough they don't have to worry about stealing each other's following. It's just easy clicks for the both of them.

I'm watching the Peterson debate and I can't believe how disingenuous Destiny is. It should be transparent to anyone with working eyes and ears that he is a liberal shill despite his exaggerated posturing about being neutral and "good faith". The canned spiel he does every time when asked about his motives where he's like "look how conscientious I am, I just want to have a genuine conversation with everyone and hear everyone out fairly" knowing that he knows that despite everything he will be nothing but a Democrat mouthpiece to the end of time is especially enraging. And that part at the end where he enthusiastically agrees with JP's assertion that the purpose of debating should be to discern truth and not just win in the eyes of your audience - just lol.

I hate how adept he is at outmaneuvering his opponents in these one-on-one in person contexts with his verbal sophistry, such that it is unclear to the majority of the audience (at least from looking at the comments on YT and Reddit) when he has plainly lost the argument and is desperately attempting to cover up his tracks. The baselessness and fallacious nature of his arguments would be totally laid bare in a long form, written debate setting.

Bald-faced, arrogant liars like him are the worst. And woe to his fans, for they have shown themselves to be simpletons.

To play devil's advocate the Church can and does tax people, such as in Germany where you have to declare your religion on immigration papers to be taxed for it or be barred from any religious services and institutions of that denomination, and the Vatican brings in a lot of money through a faith tax in countries such as Germany. They also technically have an army in the Swiss Guard but that's much more nebulous than their taxation in some countries.
