What's the deal with urbanspook

He made an analog horror series about a serial killer who at one point is implied to have raped some kids. Cuz y'know he's an awful evil serial killer.

And trannies hate him for some reason. Probably said something or done something to offend them so they just call him a pedophile and shit on his series for "being bad" (even though it is one of the only recent analog things to even raise a chill to me)

Someone probably knows more about the situation than I do and can probably shine more light on this.

Also gave Angel Hare a try. Story is nice and heartwarming, but I thought the narrator text boxes dragged it down hard. They were really hamfisted and spoonfed the story way too much, the episodes would have been better without them. A fan cut of the series that gets rid of them/remakes the narration in a different fashion would be cool.

They probably hate him because these people love to project themselves onto the antagonist, and as such they chimp out when the antagonist isn't "poor sad and misunderstood" but is instead a evil deranged monster. Not helped by the fact he has vocally stood up for himself against people having a go at him (Chezzkids being an example).

What I also love about Chezzkids is that people use that an example of "NOW THIS IS HOW YOU KILL CHILDREN AND KEEP IT PG13!". At least the guy who is in charge of Urbanspook is a good artist and uses his videos as a medium to promote himself. Most Analog Horror series just use stock photos or footage in the most uncreative ways ever.

the whole debacle with Alex Kister and Urbanspook reminds of the factoid that the people with the most fucked up imaginations always wind up being the most normal well-adjusted members of society while the people who try to be as inclusive and sensitive as possible always wind up being pedophiles among other dredges of society.

I think that's looking too deep into it. At the end of the day it's just not a good series, but instead of simply calling it shit and moving along they have to moral grandstand and come up with a "valid" reason to cancel it. Because shitting on someone's art for being bad is hecking mean and demoralizing!!! And we don't want to discourage up and coming artists uwu

George is such a nerd sperg goofball in private it's kinda funny. A very stark contrast compared to his on-stage presence.

EDIT: As for the "normal people do better with dark concepts", I think it's pretty simple.

A normal person has a functioning moral compass, so for example they know that a mass murderer child rapist is something disturbing to the viewer. Because it's disturbing to them, they know it's evil, so fiction created around those concepts will be disturbing.

A deranged person has a dysfunctional moral compass, so to them such a concept might not seem scary, because that's their actual tendencies, and if they still have the self-awareness they'll avoid such topics as they remind them that they're the dregs of society and they hate it.

This also goes for how a normal person and a deranged person present themselves. A normal person acts freely, as they are. A deranged person has to act like someone they're not so their dark secret won't surface, as they look for acceptance in a society full of well-adjusted people as someone who cannot fit into it.

Mattsquatch and Wendigoon both mock the idea that the chupacabra could exist yet believe in the possibility of Dogmen being real. Even Beyond Creepy who covers almost everything and anything, seems to avoid the topic of chupacabra. He covers blue men and vampires living in Seattle.
