Aside from all of that, I think it's important to remember what things were like in 2014 on social media. #Metoo was the big bomb that shook up entertainment, "check your priveledge" was being parroted by half of twitter and every guy with a decent job was walking on eggshells to not get cancelled. No, it's a common misconception that Tomokazu Fukushima was like the secret genius behind the Metal Gear games or something. Kojima plots out the ideas and concepts well ahead of time. Fukushima mostly worked on codec dialogue, the really, really autistic ones about how cardboard boxes are made, or international guidelines on ballistic missiles. He left after MGS3, which is one reason why MGS4 didn't feature as many codec calls like that.
