I was talking about Xuzhou, not Fancheng. As for the Dynasty Warriors series... well, they were chasing the Western trend of open world RPG instead of improving the roots of that series. They're not exactly woke when it comes to character designs, so I don't think it's an ESG issue.

I think the distinguishing factor is because rimworld has immense raport, it also is more targetted for controversy.
Sure, you can kill off / enslave homos, or dump them as shock troops in an expendible fight, but these are incidental, they aren't the game actually making / even codifying any judgement towards gays, its ALLOWING a player to use those mechanics against gays.
I've actually looked this up many times, and it seems like the community fiercely avoids the topic, I've even seen threads suggest it, but they do it in the most hacky ways, seeming to AVOID the possibility of allowing hating fags, like so

Funny part is, I feel like adding homophobia would be pretty damn simple, but just nobody has. We already have equivalent with ideoligions hating chem abuse, you could probably do the same sort of deal, hating people who have the gay trait, and throwing a fit if people engage in homosexuality and having an execution of colonists if they are homos for a bonus mood for everyone.
FORTUNATELY, theres at least this mod, which removes fags entirely but... I'd much prefer the odd fag which I could execute for a mood bonus.

Honestly if you made a mod which just could GENERALLY add traits as a precept concept to ideoligions, you could probably add that mod with little backlash, since sure, you could have faith based homophobia, but could excuse it under "wow, huh, apparently gay is a trait? guess people can use it that way, oh well".
While I have faith in tynan, its a shame his community is so against this. This thread is a really good example, everyone got extremely butt-hurt when a mod was requested.

These same people always say its "not a big deal" having gay shit in games, but act like a rabid weasel got stuck up their ass if you talk about modding it out.

Honestly, I don't blame Chris Hemsworth now for wanting to get away from Marvel and their bullshit after the way he was treated on the set of Thor 4. Dude was treated like a piece of meat, and we were supposed to find it.. what? Funny? Hot? It's utterly baffling. I've noticed lately that women in their 30's have been aging RAPIDLY to where they look 20-30 years older.

Either they are completely miserable, more mental than anyone can ever imagine, did a lot of fucked up shit in their teens/20's, abused way too much beauty products so the chemicals are taking an effect, or all of the above.

I caught whims of that on Twitter and I thought it was indeed the most miserable-sounding outlook...and then they turn around and sexualize men. These fucks just turning the tables on who gets to be sexualized I guess.

Treehouse and all of NoA fucks everything up. Their treatment of the Fire Emblem games and more recently Xenoblade 2 and 3 are big examples. I don't play the Fire Emblem games so I can't comment on much but they removed the waifu petting minigame and that was a big deal. With Xenoblade 2 they basically rewrote the script and removed all the depth and nuance and the entire romance plot while adding their own fanfiction. Xenoblade 3 avoids gendered language at any point they can and made one of the characters a tranny, also voiced by a pooner, and in the DLC they changed a character that is supposed to represent the jungian Anima of a character into a lecture about them being non-binary and using they/them pronouns.
